Framed Little Things with The Stamp Market

Hello!  Doing a little creating with The Stamp Market’s February Card Kit, because it’s just SO cute!  An big element in the kit are these adorable little frames.  I wanted to make a “framed wall” design, so I picked a sweet little colour combo to start with.

I stamped and die cut the pretty flowers from the set, and then embossed the frames in the various colours in white to tie it together.  The background uses a Concord & 9th Die to create texture.

The sentiment seems just perfect!

Special Delivery Envelopes from The Stamp Market

Hello!  Today I’ve got a cutie card that’s sealed with a kiss!  For this design I’m using The Stamp Market’s January Cutest Card Kit Ever and the February Card Kit as well.  I think the envelop theme paired with the die cut flowers is such a great combination!

I started by doing a bunch of die cutting in a colourful palette with papers in the kit from The Stamp Market.  I’ve used coordinating colours in the mini envelopes and the flowers.  This took some time and its sure a patient process, but how cute are those tiny details like the envelope circles and the tiny flower centers?  So worth it.

The background is run through Concord & 9th’s Double Stripe Card Front Die to add texture.    And then its all about placing all the piece in a pleasing arrangement.

The sentiment is stamped from the January Card kit stamp set.  Sweet as can be!

Berry Grateful Wreath with The Stamp Market

Wreath Shaped card with 3d leaves and embossed sentiment

Hello!  We had our first snow that stuck (for a day) this week.  It’s put me in more of a Christmas mood....while still wanting to hold on to Autumn as long as possible.  And while we’ve had Thanksgiving already in Canada, its always good to be full of thanks no matter the circumstances.  So today’s card is a bit of a transitional design between Thanksgiving and Christmas with new goodies from The Stamp Market.  This is the October Kit from The Stamp Market, and it includes a gorgeous oblong wreath for a shaped card design, lots of dies to accent the wreath and a coordinating sentiment set, dies and paper in the kit.  It’s a beauty!

I went with some cool greens from the kit to design my wreath, and rather than flowers in the wreath, I only used the flower centers to create berries for the greenery.  Perfect to lean it more toward Christmas. Each bit of greenery was ink blended to give the leaves some extra dimension and colour.

The sentiment is a lovely one, and I embossed it in silver and used the coordinating dies to cut it out and pop it up with foam.  With such great texture and colour, it didn’t need anything else to still be a gorgeous shaped design.

Blossom Butterfly with The Stamp Market

I had the best time making today’s card!  I pulled out a couple of products from The Stamp Market, including the Enchanted Wings Dies and the Big Bloom Bouquet Dies, to create a botanical blossom butterfly.  I cut out the different layers in vellu and cardstock and layered up the large butterfly die.

I also have a layer of vellum underneath the flowered butterfly and a smaller butterfly in vellum on top with the butterfly body and an extra blossom.  The vellum adds a softening and see-through effect which is so pretty.  The dies are so detailed you really don’t have a to add a lot of extra.  I also cut out the sentiment 3x in white and Juniper so it would have more dimension and stand out from the card base, which I embossed with a Spellbinders Embossing folder.

Before attaching the butterfly to the card base I swiped all the raised flowers with white ink to tie it in to the butterfly body.  Just delightful!

Stitching Saturday Delphinium

After a bit of a break, I’m back today with another stitching Saturday design.  This time it’s some towering delphinium just like I have starting to bloom in my flower beds.  This bluey-purple shade are my favourite!  I loosely followed a pattern I found on the web, using The Stamp Market’s adorable Embroidery Hoop dies.

The blue cardstock is run through Simon Say’s Stamp’s Pincushion Plate Wafer Die, to coordinate with the holes of the cross stitch die.  Then I added in a frame of green 1/4 inch Quick Strips from The Stamp Market.

The foiled sentiment is a really pretty one also from The Stamp Market called Best Wishes Foil Plate.

It makes for a sweet little Summer thank you note!

Golden Petal Watercolour with The Stamp Market

Watercolor Floral Postage Card

Hello!  Today I’m excited to bring you a watercolour design of floral postage!  It’s been too long since I’ve pulled out my brushes.  This beautiful image is from The Stamp Market is such a beauty, and is called - Floral Note.

I embossed the image in gold onto Arches Cold Pressed watercolour paper, and then pulled out Daniel Smith watercolours of Quin Coral, Quin Gold, Cobalt, Jadeite Genuine, and Serpentine Green.

Then I cut it into postage size sections with The Stamp Market’s Postage Stamps Cover Die, and used a gold sharpie and a ruler to outline the postage stamps.

Next, I layered it over a cardbase of deep evergreen with stripes of coordinating cardstock using The Stamp Market’s  1/4 inch and 1/2 inch Quick Strips die.

The sentiment from the set is also embossed on the card.  Those gold touches really add a lovely touch to the watercoloured petals.  I hope you’ve enjoyed it!

Green and Gold for a Grad Girl with The Stamp Market

Today I’m back with the second grad card this week for our son’s girlfriend.  I went with the same colours as yesterday - their University colours of green and gold, but a much more feminine style using The Stamp Market products.  This beautiful floral die set is called Big Bloom Bouquet.  Marvellous, don’t you think?  I placed the arrangement onto a mini-slimline size card that I foiled with a Spellbinders foiling die called Plaid Tidings (retired?).

I added some ink blending and pencil colour blending on the petals and the same gorgeous shimmery gold cardstock for the flower centers.

And it’s finished with a perfect gold foiled sentiment from The Stamp Market called Best Wishes Foil Plates and some gold sequins.  It has a very summery feel with the rich colours!

Flowered Postage with The Stamp Market

Hello!  Today I’m back with another pretty design using products from The Stamp Market.  The elements I used for this card actually sold me on trying out the company.  I’ve used First Class Stamp and coordinating Postage Stamps die and the Garden Bouquet Dies.  Postage themed products are so popular now, and I really liked this one because it’s styled a bit differently.

I picked a sunny colour palette, cut out all the floral dies and ink-blended them to give some depth.  I also masked a line on the cardstock and ink blended 2/3 of the space add some deeper colour.

I covered the 2/3 area with die cut flowers, and then added the “stamp” to overlap the 2/3 - 1/3.

I thnk the dimension is fantastic! No sentiment added - as I think it can stand on it’s own as an all occasion card!  Hope it brings a smile to your face today!

Beautiful Floral Note with The Stamp Market

I’m excited to show you a few of the goodies I picked up recently from The Stamp Market!  Their style is really clean and graphic and they have some really creative ideas.  This beauty which just had to get in my cart is such a pretty and large blossom called Floral Note.  I decided to go really deep and rich with this one and pick a very moody palette - coloured up with Copics.

I fussy cut the design out, added in a few extra teal blossoms popped up and then placed it on a deep teal background, which I had already added in some coordinating 1/2” and 1/4” cardstock strips cut withdies from The Stamp Market as well.  I think it ties the colours together so nicely.

The sentiment is included in the set, accented with my go to enamel dots.  I also added in some white gel pen to the flower stamens to help them pop.  Gorgeous floral isn’t it?
