The Sky’s the Limit with TCP
Well, its the end of a sweet era for The Cat’s Pajamas. I’m both sad and excited for Alma and all that is in store for her in the future. I’ve had the best time the last 12 or so years with the team. So, for my last official TCP post, I pulled out a favourite of mine....Sky’s the Limit. I’ll always love this bunny! I printed the digi image large enough to cover a good portion of the card, and coloured the design with Copics in The Cat’s Pajamas colours! It seemed the perfect way to send Alma off with lots of hope.
I trimmed out the bunny and balloon and added him to a cardbase which I ink blended an ombre background of deep pink. Next I added in a cloud die for the background texture and then some TCP Cloud dies (retired) to accent.
Just a little white enamel heart to finish it off.
You only have a few more days left to pick up your TCP favourites at 30% off! Once December 31st comes they’re gone forever!

Fall Forest Whimsy with The Cat’s Pajamas
Well Hi! Today I’m bringing you the most charming whimsical little Autumn scene! It’s created with The Cat’s Pajamas stamps and digital images, and lots of Copic colouring. I started with creating a Fall themed background with TCP’s Fall Foliage digital stamp set, arranging the leaves, acorns and toadstools in a fun layout.
Next I also took some of those same leaves and shrunk them down really tiny so that I could add them to this retired stamp set scene, giving it the feel of a windy Autumn day where the leaves are swirling (its very west-coast with gigantic leaves!). These little leaves are trimmed out after colouring and added to the Copic coloured scene. Aren’t these little woodland animals darling dressed in their cozy sweaters and scarves?
The main image is popped up and I’ve added texture to the background with a plaid style die, as well as a few enamel dots to accent. It’s the perfect all occasion card for Fall!

You’re Otterly Fintastic with TCP
How’s your Summer going? That is, if you’re in the Northern Hemisphere. Mine has gone far too quick for my taste! Today I’m bringing you some delightful tastes of Summer and the Sea with August New Releases from The Cat’s Pajamas. We’ll kick it off with another FINtastic mermaid from the Be a Mermaid set. I just love the illustration on this set with all its wavy sketchy lines, and the creatures have such personality! I have two fun designs to show you!
I printed the digital stamp onto Copic XPress It Blending cardstock, and then coloured the design with Copics, then die cut it out, with the addition of a few starfish from the Doodled Shells set.
Next, I created a background on watercolour paper using shimmery Lindy’s Magical Powders and a water stencil. I moved the stencil several times to get the reflection of water on the paper in purply blues and teals to coordinate with my mermaid. I also added in additional sparkle with a Jelly Roll pen on the mermaid’s hair and on her fish buddy.

I applied the same treatment to the sentiment and added some iridescent sequins to accent and mimic the bubbles in the design.
Next is an Otterly adorable Bendy Card design!
This little water scene utilizes a new template from TCP called the Portrait Bendy Card Template, combined with the cutest little otters! This set is called Otterly Amazing, and it comes in a line drawn set, as well as a SVG Cutable . I’m always about the colouring, so I chose the line drawn otters, coloured them up with Copics. I think they are darling!
I fussy cut the otters and starfish, and then built the Bendy Card shape after cutting it with my Silhouette machine. It’s very simple to put together! I added in some turquoise paper waves with a TCP retired die, and stencilled “waves” with blue and white ink and a retired TCP Stencil. Finshing off the colouring with some white gel pen bubbles. These otters are perfect for this style of card because you can create a 3D scene.
A few holeless sequins give a touch of sparkle, along with the cute sentiment. Thanks for your visit, here’s a peek at the items I used today from the August Release. They are TOO cute!

An Airforce Grad!
Hello! Our family has had a very special week with my husband’s family in the US. We went for our nephew’s graduation from the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, and to celebrate his wedding two days later. It was such an awesome experience. So, for the occasion, I created this grad card for him using one of my all time favourite The Cat’s Pajamas sets called Take Off. Knowing it was a very special occasion, I doctored this cute set, adding in Air Force symbols and uniform with a pencil and then a Micron Pen. So, now he has an airforce uniform and airforce symbols on his plane!
I popped up the wing of the plane, and added the exhaust from the plane poped up as well. The background is ink blended with a retired TCP Cloud Stencil. And let me say we had clear blue skies and very hot weather for the grad!
Here’s a couple of fun shots from the grad. Vice-President Kamala Harris was the guest speaker, and she saluted and shook the hand of every one of the 970 grads. It was a very fun experience for us Canadians!
Here’s our nephew shaking her hand on the big screen, and below, our 2nd Lieutenant with his Mom :)
We’re really proud of him!

The Bunny is a HS Grad with TCP
Hello! Today I’ve got a High School Graduation to celebrate. Our niece is graduating and I thought it would be fun to create a card to celebrate her with new TCP Goodies! Our favourite bunny is created with a new set called Change the World! I looked up her High School colours and used them as my guide for the whole card. So, he’s got a maroon cap and gown, and I drew in a little big of his hood with a Copic Multiliner pen.
A lot of the design is just paper striping, including a fun sentiment banner from a retired TCP die and stamp, gold embossed on the banner. I also added some cute wood veneer stars to the design giving them a bit of Copic colouring to coordinate with his brown bunny fur.
I think she’ll get a kic out of it. He’s definitely cute and ready to celebrate!

Baby Week - Bunny Hatching with SU!
In what feels like a lifetime ago, I was a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, doing this for many years. And along the way I collected a few sets that I just can’t part with. This cutie is one of them - Everybunny, long since retired, but still with the most adorable images that work for both Easter and babies.
I used the cute little bunny hatched out of his egg and did a little Copic colouring on him. Then I used some pretty dies from PinkFresh Studios called Essentials: Mini Slimline Bundle to showcase him.
The pretty plaid in the background is layered dies from Concord and 9th, both the Thick Plaid and the coordinating Thin Pad dies. They combine so nicely together. A faux grossgrain die is from a retired TCP die.
A little baker’s twine bow, sentiment from another retired SU! sentiment set, and an enamel heart keep it simple and oh so sweet! Baby cards are just the best to make. Thanks for joining me today!

TCP March Release Dragons...and Laundry!

Hi There! March has arrived and that means a new release from The Cat’s Pajamas! And today I’m bringing you two cards created with new products! My first design happens to contain one of my all time favourite TCP images from the set Bunnies in Flight. I just think a Viking Bunny riding a dragon is a hoot!
I really had fun incorporating clear cardstock with this design to showcase the feeling of being suspended in mid-flight.
After colouring the bunny and dragon with Copics, I die cut some hill dies, as well as some clouds from a retired TCP die. I made a small 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 inside card with the hills that opens up for writing in, but then I layered the clouds and bunny inside and outside of the acetate cardstock.
Here you can see that even closed, it looks like he’s flying over the snow dusted hills (colored pencil lightly coloured), high up in the clouds!

Let the adventures begin! It was a fun card to put together.
Next up is a sweet design that’s perfect for the laundry room, or even a welcome baby card. This cutie uses the new digi Shine On. I thought it would be adorable to create a frame around this punny saying with elements from the set. So, I arranged it on my computer and then printed it out on Copic XPress It Blending paper, slightly lightening the transluscence so that it would have a softer effect for the pastel colours I wanted to use.
Colouring is done with Copics, with a few white gel pen accents, and then the centre of the frame is fussy cut out to create a window for the sentiment. Placed on coordinating plaid paper, it has a fresh Spring cleaning appeal. See how the washing machine is 1/2 full of H20?!
A few enamel dots add some fun 3D accents.

Stitching Saturday - Baby Birdie
Hi Everyone! I’ve got a new stitching card today using a number of products from Spellbinders, with a baby theme that is really darling. I started with Spellbinder's Stitching Petal Diamond Background and a pretty color palette of floss and then added this adorable Little Chickadee die in coordinating colours to the floss.
I think this sweet little bird really makes the card shine. It’s perfect as a baby welcome accent! The foiled sentiment comes from the Mini Everyday Sentiments Glimmer and it’s layered over a section of vellum to give softness.
Lots of fun colour to stitch with!

Elephant Birthday Balloons with MFT
Dropping in today with an elephant that never forgets Birthdays! This sweet little dude is almost ready for the party, except he just lost one balloon! This set from MFT is called Adorable Elephants, and they really are. I’m also playing along with MFT”s Weekly Sketch and Colour Challenge.
Colouring is done with Copics, and I’ve also used several stencils to ink blend the background sky and the Small Brick Wall walkway that grounds the image. The patterned paper arch uses a retired MFT plaid that was perfect for the colours.
Thanks for joining me today! Hope you have a happy Monday!

Red Dragon Flyby with MFT
Its the year of the Dragon in the Lunar New Year and it’s always fun to break out the rich reds, so today I’m playing along with the Lunar New Year Challenge on Instagram, and MFT’s weekly Sketch Challenge.
I found a not so scary dragon from MFT called Magical Dragons to colour up with warm Copics in reds and oranges.
The sketch is a really interesting one with an arched element and a radiating section, so I used embossing to create the radiating rays, which adds to the feeling of layers of different reds. The detailed background uses a Pinkfresh Studios coverplate die.
A very fun dragon baby for the next Birthday!

I {heart} Snow Days with TCP
Hello! I’m popping in with some sparkly winter wishes and the newest release from The Cat’s Pajamas! This one is a cutie called Snow Days. As you can see he’s ready for the neighbourhood kids with a stockpile of snow balls. We don’t get many snow days here in Alberta, but when we lived in the midwest we had them often and I remember the delight of a blizzard and a day off with lots of snow antics.
I printed our favourite bunny out on Copic XPress It Blending cardstock, then coloured him up with a few cool grey Copics and some light blues on the snow. I’ve added some sparkle pen on the snow and some Mica Flakes over clear glue to really amp up the sparkle.
The snowflakes are retired TCP snowflake dies and he’s placed on an embossed card base where I inked up the embossing folder with Distress Ink before running the paper through, which added soft blue colour in the debossed areas. It really feels like swirling snow on the card.
I added the cutest little bit of red in the enamel heart placed strategically over the sentiment heart. It’s so cute!

Fox in Socks and Harvest Mice for WCMD
Hello! I didn’t want to let World Card Making Day go by without creating something fun! This hobby has given me such joy, a chance to create little canvases of love, connection to some beautiful people across the world that are now friends, and the chance to work for a number of companies that have been a real joy. With it also being Thanksgiving for us in Canada this weekend, I count it one of my many blessings.
This little mini slimline design uses a couple of adorable sets from My Favorite Things, both since retired. Fox and Friends and Harvest Mice. They’re coloured up with Copics and fussy cut.
I created this scene with cardstock from Concord & 9th - Peacock and Spiced Cider. The Slimline dies are from PinkFresh Studio, Essentials: Mini Slimline Dies, the cloud dies are from Concord & 9th - Cloudy Double Card Front Die, and the hill is a retired die from The Cat’s Pajamas. I also drew in the sweaters and socks on the foxes - otherwise they’d be jealous of those mice.
Since there was a lot going on on the outside of the card, I added the inked sentiment on the inside, with a few coloured leaves.
A sweet harvest scene for Thanksgiving! I hope you’ve had a chance to create today too! Happy World Cardmaking Day!
