Peony Sunshine with Pink Fresh Studios

Happy Friday!  Today I’m bringing a little floral sunshine with this pretty new set from Pink Fresh Studios, it’s called Peony Perfection.  In my garden I have 7 different peony plants, and one of my favourite ones is called Coral Charm, so I coloured the blooms with that variety in mind.  The set comes with coordinating dies, which I used to cut them out.  

I stamped the background layer of the card with the set, then added texture with the Dotted Chevron Coverplate Die.  Each of the blossoms are popped up.  

Isn’t that sentiment a lovely one?  A perfect way to congratulate someone, or use as a Wedding design.

Watching You Bloom with Pink Fresh Studios

 

Hi There!  Ever have one of those days where you need a pretty card, but don’t have a lot of time to create?  Today was one of those days, and these new products from Pink Fresh Studios from the Peony Perfection Suite were perfect!  I started off with the Washi Tape in Pink and the coordinating Peony Perfection Dies for quick and showstopper blossoms.  

Next, I used the new Leafy Lattice Press Plate and coordinating Dies with foiling to create the gorgeous lattice.  I ink blended the background and then placed all the elements onto the page.  A little splash of gold paint adds that metallic touch.  

The sentiment is from the Peony Perfection Stamp set, and I embossed it in gold, and a few gold enamel dots are the pretty jewelry accents.

Watching You Bloom with Pink Fresh Studios

Poinsettia Frame with Pinkfresh Studios

 Hello!  I’ve got a few more Christmas themed creations to show over the next week, and today I’m strating with this beautiful poinsettia frame from Pinkfresh Studios called Poinsettia Frame cling stamp.  The gorgeous blend of flowers and greenery were really wonderful to colour up with Copics.  

And apparently, I forgot that I have the coordinating die to the image, and decided to fussy cut the frame out!  I accented the design with a wonderful sparkly die cut bow, and added some texture to the background of the card with a quilted texture.  

With all the colourful detail of the image, I just added a few enamel dots to accent, and a pretty die cut sentiment stacked up 3 x so it has some thickness and dimension, and appears like it’s floating on the card.    Here’s hoping you’re full of joy too!  Thanks for stopping by!

Poinsettia Frame with Pinkfresh Studios

Peachy Poinsettias with Pinkfresh

 Hello!  Today I’m bringing you some fresh poinsettias from Pinkfresh Studios with a suite of products including the Poinsettia Frame stamp , coordinating stencils and dies.  They are the perfect framing element for the Christmas season.  Fair warning - I have a lot of poinsettias ahead this month from different companies to show you.  For some reason, I seem to have them on the brain.  They are the perfect quintisential Christmas flower.  

For this design, I stamped the image in a very light Toffee Crunch Memento Ink, then stenciled and ink blended the colours, finishing up the detailing in the flowers with coloured pencils, die cutting the fram out.  

As a perfect foil for the peach poinsettias, I layered the frame on a Seaglass card base with Pinkfresh’s Twist Pattern die, also using the negative image from the die as the place for the sentiment (a long ago stamp from Stampin’ Up!)

A little glitz and glam is added some iridescent holeless sequins, and another Christmas card is in the books!  Appreciate your visit!

Peachy Poinsettias with Pinkfresh

Hi!  I’m back with a another Summer card for this week.  Even though the weather today was decidely Fall-like, I’m bringing the blossoms with this lovely set from Pinkfresh Studios called Handpicked Flowers.   I was totally inspired by one of the sample pictures on the Pinkfresh site that I both had to have the set, and then did my own version of one of the cards.  

I started by using the coordinating stencil for the set on various parts of the cardstock in warm summery shades to cover most of the layer.  

Then I embossed the stamp set over the stencilling in white to give some definition to the petals.  I cut a tiny strip of white for the smaller sentiment, and added in a leafy vellum branch beneath this layer for a bit of whimsy.

And finally, I added the larger sentiment from the set cut with the coordinating die for this stamp set.  No extra embellishments needed with the romantic pattern of the flowers!   Thanks for stopping by!

A Washi Bouquet with Pinkfresh

Hello!  I’m popping in with a card for the monthly challenge at Pinkfresh Studios!  This month it’s theme is Washi Tape.  And if you buy washi tape from Pinkfresh, it’s no regular striped or dotted tape of old, this particular one I used is called Artsy Floral, and it coordinates with their suite of products in that theme.  It’s a gorgeous blend of florals with touches of shimmery gold.  I pulled out a section of washi and taped it onto white cardstock, and used the coordinating Artsy Floral die to cut the flowers out perfectly.  

I created a lattice background for my flowers with the Elongated Lattice die, placed it over the white card base, and then added some sparkly framing with the Rounded and Braided Rectangle die.   Then it was a matter of floral placement.  

It’s perfect for a wedding or a birthday with the pretty stamped sentiment from the coordinating stamp set.

A Washi Bouquet with Pinkfresh

Cuppa Columbine with Power Poppy

 Hi There!  Today I have another beautiful floral, this time from Power Poppy, and it’s a digi called: Cup of Columbine.  Talk about a beauty!  Just the way the pretty columbine petals are arranged in a tea cup is so whimsical and charming, and wonderfully illustrated by Marcy. 

I printed the image on XPress It Blending Cardstock, and coloured with Copics, finishing with some coloured pencils for some blending and details.  

I trimmed it out with a Pink Fresh die Rounded and Braided Rectangle.   The base of the card is ink blended with Distress Oxide inks to coordinate with the colouring of the columbine.  A few clear dot gems accent the design and nod to the seeds flying away. 

The foiled sentiment “Sending Birthday Wishes” is foiled using a Spellbinders sentiment for a little pop of silver, and I’ve added a bit of white gel pen to accent the tea cup and colour the polka dots on the cup.  

She’s a cutie!

Cuppa Columbine with Power Poppy

Blue Peony Wedding with Pinkfresh

Hello there!  Next week we’ll be celebrating our nephew’s graduation from the Air Force Academy, and his wedding two days later.  We have known this nephew since the day he was born and our families are close.  Our sons are groomsmen and we’re looking forward to a great celebration.  The colours of their wedding are blues and greys, so of course as cardmakers we always want to coordinate!  I pulled out the very lovely Peony Fantasy Bundle, including the Hot Foil plate, the stencil and coordinating dies, and worked with pretty blues and soft greens on white cardstock.  I added in a little coloured pencil blending in a few spots to soften the effect or deepen the blues.  Next, I also embossed some peonies in silver onto vellum using the stamp set and ink blended colour on the back of the vellum.  

I used the Braided and Rounded Rectangle Dies from Pinkfresh to form a frame for my flowers, and also used the Dotted Chevron Coverplate die on the blue cardbase for more texture.  Then it was all about arranging the flowers on the frame!   The sentiment is Mini Everyday Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil from Spellbinders and I stacked two small sentiments together foiling them to create a little banner.  

Just a couple of silver enamel dots accent the design.  Looking forward to celebrating this delightful occasion!

Blue Peony Wedding with Pinkfresh

Apples for the Teacher with Power Poppy

Hello!  Today I’m bringing you a sweet apple for the teacher.  Another one of the Retirement cards I created for a friend who has colleagues retiring at her school.  And you can never go wrong bringing your teacher an apple right?  This design from Power Poppy is a digital image called Apples in Season.  And while you won’t likely find blossoms and full fruit in any season, it sure makes a gorgeous design for a card!  

My colouring is done with Copics, with a little touch of white gel pen on the stamens of the blossoms.  

 

The beautiful focal die is called Rounded and Braided Essentials from Pink Fresh Studios, and the wonderfully textured background is created with Concord & 9th’s Basket Weave Card Front Die.  It’s been so long since I’ve used this set, it was a delight to colour it up and bring it to life!

Apples for the Teacher with Power Poppy

Retirement Florals with Pink Fresh Studios

Hello!  Today I’m bringing a second Retirement card for a friend’s workplace.  This one is all about fresh colour and beautiful colour!  I'm using Pink Fresh Studio’s Artsy Florals Stamp set and the coordainting dies.  They have a fun loosly drawn style which was fun to colour with Copics because you have the freedom to decide the depth of colour in the petals.  I’m also playing along with the May 2024 Monthly Challenge at Pink Fresh,  which is about Flower Power!  

Once I had coloured the flowers and die cut them, I created a pretty rainbow style ink blended background to coordinate with the colours of the flowers, and then ran this panel through the Ornate Medallions Coverplate die, perfect for a touch of delicate texture.  I also added a framing layer using Pink Fresh Studio’s Essentials:  Mini Slimline Dies.  

To help accent the design I embossed a few of the flowers from the set onto vellum and tucked them into the design, perfect for allowing the background colour to still shine through.  I few sequins add that touch of sparkle.  The sentiment is embossed and from a retired Stampin’ Up! set.  It feels so cheerful!  Which is what I hope retirement is like :)

Retirement Florals with Pink Fresh Studios

Baby Week - Bunny Hatching with SU!

 

In what feels like a lifetime ago, I was a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, doing this for many years.  And along the way I collected a few sets that I just can’t part with.  This cutie is one of them - Everybunny, long since retired, but still with the most adorable images that work for both Easter and babies. 

I used the cute little bunny hatched out of his egg and did a little Copic colouring on him.  Then I used some pretty dies from PinkFresh Studios called Essentials:  Mini Slimline Bundle to showcase him. 

The pretty plaid in the background is layered dies from Concord and 9th, both the Thick Plaid and the coordinating Thin Pad dies.  They combine so nicely together.  A faux grossgrain die is from a retired TCP die.  

A little baker’s twine bow, sentiment from another retired SU! sentiment set, and an enamel heart keep it simple and oh so sweet!  Baby cards are just the best to make.    Thanks for joining me today!

Baby Week - Bunny Hatching with SU!

Rose Gold Flower Garden with Pink Fresh Studios

Hello!  Today I have a pretty design that could be beautiful for a wedding or birthday design using new products from Pink Fresh Studios in the Artsy Floral Bundle.  I haven’t made use of Washi Tape forever, but their gorgeous detailed tapes are stunning with all of the watercolour-y details and gold foiling, I’m really glad I tried them out.  This is Artsy Floral Washi and coordinating die.  It really makes for a quick and polished group of florals to play with.  I used the washi tape on vellum and then trimmed out with the dies.  

Next I made a circle card design and used the Intricate Stitched Ovals Coverplate to add texture to the base, and ink blended a bit of green ink on this layer.  Then I die cut an inner circle out of rose gold glitter paper to play along with the PFS April Challenge of circles and used that as my frame for all these luscious petals.   The sentiment is from the Artsy Floral Stamp set, embossed in Rose Gold.  Lots of shine and shimmer in this one!  

Finishing touches included a few rose gold sequins and gold enamel dots to accent the design.  Such a pretty flower garden!

Rose Gold Flower Garden with Pink Fresh Studios

Circular Posies with Pinkfresh Studios

 

Hi Again!  I’m back with more flowers.  I just can’t get enough.  Today’s pretty posies are from Pink Fresh Studio and are called Peony Fantasy.  Included in this suite are the Hot Foil Plate, Coordinating Die, and the coordinating stencil.  I think it’s a beautiful bundle of products.  I finished a card with this bundle a few weeks ago, but had a few leftovers perfect for a new design.  

I’m playing along with Pink Fresh Studio’s Monthly Challenge for “Circles”.  This circle die perfectly frames the layers of flowers and vellum!  

So, I hot foiled, stenciled and die cut a few extra blooms with a more orange tone, which pairs nicely with the peach blossoms.  The card base is created with a Simon Says Stamp Embossing Folder called Margot Tile.  After running it through my machine, I swiped gold Lunar paste over the impressions to really give it the feeling of a tin ceiling.  

The sentiment is embossed in gold, and then some gold sequins accent the shimmery gold of the design.

Circular Posies with Pinkfresh Studios

Spring Hyacinths with Colorado Craft Company

Hi there!  I’m popping in tonight with a pretty pop of SPRING!  We’ve had beautiful weather this week and it makes me think it might stay.  Today I’m using a pretty digital set from Colorado Craft Company called Thank You Hyacinth.  They recently offered it as a freebie, so it was fun to try it out!   Hyacinths have such a deep fragrance and come in so many pretty pops of colour, so it was fun to give them some vibrant violet shades with Copics and coloured pencils.  

I used a few background layers adding texture including embossing the base layer with Spellbinders Flower Frenzy 3D folder , swiping it with white ink, then using Pink Fresh Studios Mini Slimline Essentials Dies for the main layer and the ink blended stencilled layer (MFT Basketweave).  

As a sweet touch I added thin velvet ribbon and enamel dots to keep things simple.  Thanks for joining me today!

Spring Hyacinths with Colorado Craft Company

Frames of Flowers with Pinkfresh Studios

 

Hello!  I’m dropping in tonight with some wonderful flowers for Pinkfresh Studio’s March Challenge.  This one is showcasing frames on your design.  This beautiful set from Pinkfresh is called  Peony Fantasy and it has a floral stamp set, hot foil plate, dies and stencils.  Today I used the Peony Fantasy Hot Foil plate and the Coordinating Stencils to accent these pretty circular frames on the mini-slimline card.  

I used several Pinkfresh dies to layer the design including the outer frame and circles with Essentials Mini Slimline Die Bundle,  and to create the lattice I used Elongated Lattice Coverplate.  

The bright green is a great backdrop for the flowers, and I ink blended the card base in soft peach, to peek through the circles, and splattered white acrylic paint for some  added interest.  

The gold embossed vellum sentiment really ties in to the foiled flowers nicely.  Perfect for a friend who could use some encouragement or even a sympathy card.  Hope you’ve enjoyed the inspiration today!

Frames of Flowers with Pinkfresh Studios

Stitching Saturday - Spring Flowers

 

Hello!  Popping in late on this Saturday with another stitching card I worked on this week.  It’s not often I stitch a full panel, but this was an easy design to work with!  This seemed to me like a perfect Spring palette to work with.  So, despite that we’ve had snow all day, I’m designing for full on Spring.  

The main stitching die is from MFT, and then I’ve incorporated Rounded and Braided Rectangle Dies from Pinkfresh Studios in Vellum as a base for these pretty die cut flowers from Concord & 9th called Build a Bloom.   Rounded corners throughout the layers mirror the pretty vellum die.  

Then, to finish it off and to coordinate with the bits of metallic silver stitching in the design (vertical stitches), I’ve added some silver foiling with Spellbinders Yana’s Sentiments Hot Foil Plate.

Stitching Saturday - Spring Flowers

Diagonal Easel Florals with PinkFresh Studios

Hello!  Today I’m bringing you a design with a neat easel fold that makes your card a little bit extra.  PinkFresh Studios has a challenge this month called Feel The Love.  And even though Valenine’s has passed, you can always make a card that showcases hearts.  I’m playing with PinkFresh’s set Just a Hello, with coordinating stencils and dies.   I embossed the image in gold and then added the colour with stencils.  Above is what it looks like perched on its diagnal easel.   

And here is what it looks like closed.  Because of the circle easel base, you can make raise the heart  to turn 45 degrees.  Here’s the tutorial to how it works.  

Close up you can see I’ve added some vellum “greenery” to accent the heart and a few sequins.  I also accented the heart and cardbase with PinkFresh’s Ornate Medallions Coverplate die. 

I love how it turned ou!  Totally feminine and pretty!
