Favourite Tulips with Honey Bee Stamps
Hi there! Of all the flowers out there, I think tulips are my all time favourite. I love their colour, shape, and how they usher in Spring with vibrance. I decided to pick up the Lovely Layers: Tulips Honey Cuts from Honey Bee Stamps because the dies are so realistic and give you 3 options of size of bloom to play with, and cut multiples layers of the flowers for wonderful realism.
Coral coloured tulips are some of the ones I most gravitate to, so I used a few shade of coral cardstock to cut the layers, then ink blended on the layers to give added depth. While also adding in a few textural details by adding coloured pencil in the die lines. I also added in some bluebells from the Lovely Layers: Wildflowers Honey Cuts, because they make a great contrast in colour to the coral tulips, and their petite size adds extra interest.
The background is ink blended with Blueprint Sketch Distress Ink, with water splatters, and I cut a small section of white lattice for the bottom section of the card for texture.
The sentiment is foiled and is a Spellbinders Let’s Celebrate Sentiments Better Press set.

Sketches of Spring Bouquet with Power Poppy

I am so excited about Spring flowers this year. We are a few weeks away from that ....but I can’t wait to see things pop up in the flower garden this year. Being so in the mood for flowers, I pulled out this beautiful floral arrangement from Power Poppy called Sketches of Spring Vol. 1. It is a dreamy combination of different daffodils, fritillaria, and a viridiflora tulip, with its varigated colours.
Colouring is primarily with Copics, with a few smoothing details with coloured pencils. The beautiful frame is from Pink Fresh Studios called Essentials: Rounded & Braided Rectangle die, with a little out of the box cutting to make that tulip leap from the page.
I love that daffodils are such a welcome sign of Spring!

Sweet Spring Curios with The Greetery
Hi there! I was in the mood for something petite and pretty that spoke Spring. So, I pulled out the pretty dies from The Greetery in the Curio Collection, both the Curio Spring Findings die set and the Curio Summer Findings die set. I chose a soft pastel Spring palette, and ink blended colour onto all the different elements, pairing that with a Kraft Postage Collage Die, from Waffle Flower.
I stencilled the background shapes with the coordinating Waffle Flower Postage Collage Stencil to add some soft blue ink to the background, and I also ink blended the background with Kraft coloured ink and then splattered to coordinated with the robin’s eggs.
The sentiment uses The Greetery’s New Day Sentiments stamp set. After ink blending on the strip, I stamped it in black ink. A couple of wood veneer star accents keep it whimsical and natural.

Sweet Magnolia Hi with Pinkfresh Studios
With the cost of supplies going up, I’m making more of an effort to pull out items in my stash to create with. This lovely magnolia design uses Pinkfresh Studios awesome stamp called Magnolia Pattern, and the coordinating stencils. For this design, I used traditional pink magnolia colours. I started by stamping the image in Angel Pink Memento Ink.
I stencilled in the blossoms, and added a Copic coloured blue background. I also adding an extra blossom, heat embossed in white ink. I trimmed this one out, adding in a bit of definition to the stencilled colour with Copics.
I also added in some texture to the background using Pinkfresh’s Dotted Chevron Coverplate Die.
To showcase the focal flower, I added a framed element with Pinkfresh’s Rounded and Braided Rectantle Die, adding the flower popped up on foam squares, and then included a die cut sentiment (Concord & 9th), and two little white enamel hearts. It’s such a pretty nod to Spring! Thanks for joining me today!

Foiled Daffodils with Spellbinders
With two feet of snow on the ground, and more falling all the time, I’m longing for a warm up and a move toward Spring! I’ve had this coloured panel on my desk forever and its Spring colours finally convinced me to create a finished design! This is a retired foiling plate from Spellbinders called Flower Pattern. After foiling it in silver, I coloured it up with Copics and trimmed around the interior to create a frame. The foiling really takes it up a notch with the shimmer and shine.
Daffodils are so cheerful! You can never go wrong with them! I also added in the interior sentiment from Yana’s Sentiments Hot Foil Plate and coordinating dies. I’m always needing more Birthday cards.
Some iridescent sequins make a nice finishing touch.

Slimline Tulip Spray with Crafty Meraki
Hello! Today is another fun Hop on Instagram for the newest Meraki Genesis Release at Crafty Meraki. There are ways to win, so please join us on this post on IG starting HERE. For the Hop I created this slimline beauty with sprays of tulips in sunny shades. I have been having a lot of fun with the new Press Plates! This one is called Love Like No Other, and I pressed it with green outline ink and used the coordinating Crafty Meraki Layering Stencil Set and coordinating Dies. The stencils are really gorgeous as you can see, and the vibrant colours are so perfect for these blooms.
I placed the tulips on an ink blended background with water splatters, and then added touches of sparkle with the Strip Suite - ZigZag Zoom Dies cut from sparkle paper, as well as the sentiment foiled with Crafty Meraki’s Handmade Love Hot Foil Plate (an essential for great scripty phrases).
Just a few copper coloured sequins add that last detail to tie it all together. Thanks for joining me today!

Etched Lenten Roses with Spellbinders
Hello! I have some gorgeous blossoms today using the Spellbinders Betterpress System and the pretty Betterpress plate that comes in the kit. For me the more detailed a flower, the better, and these are just gorgeous! I pressed them twice onto the cotton cardstock in the kit and then carefully cut around the flowers to create a top and bottom floral frame.
I’ve used some creative liscence for the flowers, but lenten roses or hellebore (as I imagine these are) really do have unique colours to them. Coloured up with Copics and layered over a lilac card panel which I pressed the sentiment into. I smooshed some ink on the panel to add some texture in the purple. As a Canadian - I’m so appreciative of the Canadian spelling of favourite!
To accent I’ve added some pretty clear dew drops, like it just rained. It’s such a pretty arrangement of flowers!

Blossoms for Mother’s Day with Waffle Flower
Hello! I just had a card sale for local friends and realized I didn’t have a lot of Mother's Day or Father’s Day cards, so I decided to add a few to the stash and started with these beautiful die cute blooms from Waffle Flower called Painted Flowers Layering Die. These have a really expressive beauty to them with lots of texture and layers. I added some ink blending details on each petal, and then after I had glued/or put foam dots between the layers, I also added in some details with coloured pencil.
I layered them on cardstock that I had ink blended with Evergreen Bough Distress Ink, splattered with water, with a little die cut circle as the “wreath” anchor. I cut an extra blossom with the dies and chose to make a coordinating tag to go with the card. It’s always nice when you can add something extra like that for gift packaging.
It has a really fresh look with the pretty colour combination. The sentiments are actually really old wood ones I had in my stash from Stampin’ Up! I thought their simple fonts were a lovely touch for the designs. Thanks for joining me today!

Honey Bee Designer Birthday Cake
It's a sweet Saturday celebration! I recently picked up a few goodies from Honey Bee Stamps and am SO delighted by them! This wonderful designer cake would be one I wouldn’t even want to eat, it’s so pretty! It’s called Wonderful Wishes Stencils, and let me tell you, I’m so impressed with it!
Because the stencilling is so detailed, it’s important that all your layers line up, exactly, and these stencils have each layer etched into the heavy-weight stencil so lining up is a dream. I picked a pretty spring-like palette and added extra popped up layers of some of the posies to give it more dimensions, a little leaf accents the foiled sentiment (Spellbinders). I even inkblended the cake stand too look like green milk-glass.
The background layer is a double stripe coverplate from Concord & 9th. Perfect for a contrast from all the flowery goodness.
Finished off with a few enamel dots in the cake for texture. Ready for a garden party celebration!

Cherry Blossom Scripture with PTI
It’s that beautiful season of Cherry Blossoms! I know someone in Japan who is showing pictures of the beauty of the Sakura blossoms right now, and I wish I could see it! Instead I pulled out some cherry blossom beauty from Paper Trey Ink called: Into the Blooms: Cherry Blossoms. It’s a beautifully detailed die!
I started with ink blending the layers, and assembling the flowers and leaves on stems which look so beautiful together! Next I embossed this beautiful Bible verse called Psalm Reflections: December Mini in silver, and then ink blended around the die cut circle in soft pink.
To coordinate with the cherry blossom theme, I also used PTI’s So Cherry Sweet Stencil for the background of the card.
Then I surrounded the verse with beautiful blossoms and a few silver enamel accents. Soft and so pretty!

Spring Hyacinths with Colorado Craft Company
Hi there! I’m popping in tonight with a pretty pop of SPRING! We’ve had beautiful weather this week and it makes me think it might stay. Today I’m using a pretty digital set from Colorado Craft Company called Thank You Hyacinth. They recently offered it as a freebie, so it was fun to try it out! Hyacinths have such a deep fragrance and come in so many pretty pops of colour, so it was fun to give them some vibrant violet shades with Copics and coloured pencils.
I used a few background layers adding texture including embossing the base layer with Spellbinders Flower Frenzy 3D folder , swiping it with white ink, then using Pink Fresh Studios Mini Slimline Essentials Dies for the main layer and the ink blended stencilled layer (MFT Basketweave).
As a sweet touch I added thin velvet ribbon and enamel dots to keep things simple. Thanks for joining me today!

Garden Paths with Concord & 9th
Hello! I just love pretty floral stencils! Today’s design from Concord & 9th is such a charming one called Garden Path Bundle which incorporates both the stencil and coordinating sentiments that fit in the “pathway”. It is all things Spring and beautiful, so I had to go with a pretty Spring palette of soft corals and soft blue greens together. So delightful!
To keep some detail in the stencil, I added in details with coloured pencils and then used Concord & 9ths Quilted Card Front Die to add texture to the design.
Just a few enamel dots complete this really clean and simple (but oh so darling) card design! Thanks for stopping by!

Postal Birdies with Waffle Flower
Hello again friends! I’m popping in tonight with an adorable design that mixes a bunch of company products in it. I finally broke down and purchased a few of Waffle Flower’s Postage Collage products. This one uses both the Postage Collage Mini Slimline dies, and the Postage Collage Mini Slimline Blocks Stencil. I had such a great time combining things to create a little design I love!
After adding in the main background colours through the stencil I also added in some images from the Everyday Stencil that would coordinate with the leaves and birds theme I was going for. Next I used some Spellbinders Dies for my little birds, Sweet Birdie Etched Dies and Little Chickadee in new Concord & 9th’s colours 2024 Color Collection.
I coordinated a few other Concord & 9th dies for the the leaves and some retired TCP stamps for the postage cancellation and cent marks. Isn’t it darling?
Such a cute little card, and I’m just loving how these postage collages look! Can’t wait to play some more! Appreciate your visit!

The Easter Bunny is a Penguin with TCP
Easter is just a few weeks away! Today I’m showing off the cutest NEW March Release items from The Cat’s Pajamas perfect for your Easter celebration! This digi set called Spring Fling is the cutest retro set from TCP! Who knew the Easter Bunny is a trio of penguins!?
I coordinated the card with this brand new digi paper pack from TCP called Spring is Here. It has the most delightful set of colours and patterns perfect for any Spring design. All of my colour inspiration came from the patterned paper and I added retired TCP die accents including the swirly banner, and tiny Easter Eggs accenting the main image with a few florals tucked in.
It’s a cutie! Glad you could stop by today!

Slimline Daffodils with Power Poppy
It’s mid week! And it’s almost Spring! I’m really enjoying our increase in light each morning and evening! It’s put me in a sunny mood, and there’s nothing better than daffodils to create more sunshine. These beauties are from Power Poppy and are called Daffodil Bouquet. I think they are fantastic mixed in with some tiny grape hyacinth, it’s a personal favourite combination I have planted in my front flower beds.
The colouring for the image comes with Copics, and finished off with coloured pencils. I say it generally because I use a mix now of Prismacolors and Polychromos pencils.
The background was another fun experiment with ink blending and a stencil in an ombre fashion using Distress Oxide inks. A little splatter of water addes some interest, and the sentiment is both stamped, and then white gel pen is added in the letters to define them against the ink blended background.
I chose to go with no embelishments on this one, and just let those fussy cut flowers shine.
Have an incredible day everyone! I hope the sun shines on you beautifully.

Embroidered Bouquet with The Greetery
Hello! It doesn’t feel like there are enough hours in the day to create does it? There are seasons where so many ideas are brewing in my head and cute products are sitting on my desk and yet I’m tuckered out from a day of work. So, though I wanted to check out last night on the couch nursing the head cold I have, I spent a little bit of time pulling this design together with products from The Greetery, and you know what? I felt better for having done it!
I started with a colour palette in my head using Concord & 9th’s Carnation, Briar Rose, Ballet Slipper, Lemongrass, Nutmeg and Wheat. I cut out an assortment of flowers using The Greetery’s Embroidered Blooms Dies, which haven’t gotten nearly enough love from me. Each of the flowers and leaves were ink blended with coordinating inks.
The flowers were arranged on a base cut of Aida Cloth die to tie in that embroidery theme, here you can see what great texture all the elements have. I’ve also added a foiled sentiment using a pretty rose gold foil with a Spellbinders sentiment set Must Have Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil.
It makes for such an interesting texured card. I love the spashes of colour and how pretty it all ties together. Now....a nap :)
