Longline Roses Frame with Concord & 9th

Hello!  Today I have some beautiful roses to show off!  These lovely ones are from Kristina Werner at Concord and 9th and are called Long Line Roses Bundle, and it includes a stamp set, stencils, and coordinating dies.   Later this week I’ll show you how the stencils work, but for the first card, I decided to emboss the roses in gold, and then pull out my watercolour brush and watercolour the image.  The set has such a unique lined design, so it was perfect for varieting tone with watercolour.

After embossing and watercolouring, I created a frame using a Spellbinders Embossing Folder and gilding it with gold Lunar Paste, trimming out the middle of the frame with a die.

I trimmed apart the pieces to get them to fit nicely in an arrangement around the frame and then added in the gold embossed sentiment.

Just a couple of gold enamel dots finish the design.  So many possibilities with this beautiful set!

Plumberry Friend from Concord & 9th

Hello!  Today I’m happy to showcase a few fun things I picked up from Concord & 9th and the new colour release.  I’ve been playing with a few different colour combinations, and decided that this was one that was a bit unusual, but I really liked!  I started with the new Petal Print Stencil, and it’s beautiful unique style and a few new colours - Plumberry and Starfruit, along with Briar Rose, Grasshopper and Rainforest.  It packs a vibrant punch!

Next, I used the Hugs & Friends Dies and those same colours of cardstock to make a bold sentiment.  I love the font on this one!

I finished off by accenting the card with a few blossoms from the new Paper Posy Bundle, adding in flowers around the sentiment with enamel dots in the centers.  Curling up the centres of the flowers gives it a perfect 3D touch.

Graphic Flowers with Crafty Meraki

Hi There!  Today I’m hopping along on Instagram Crafty Meraki, showing off another card for the April Release Meraki Melody.  I hope you pop over to Instagram to see all the creations!

For this fun and graphic design I used the new Meadow Muse Press-Tacular Plate, and the really awesome A2 Timeless Frames Para-Dies.

I decided to bring some fun colours together and coloured up parts of the images with Copics,  then I outlined the edges with a black Copic marker.  I also pressed the image into the background of the card.

To tie all the colours together, I used Crafty Meraki Strip Suite- ZigZag Zoom dies.  The sentiment is from the Meadow Muse Stamp set.

Just a few Meraki Matte Eclipse Black Opal Gems add some shine and coordinate with the black centres of the flowers.  Thanks for stopping by!

Parcel of Petals with Concord & 9th

I had a fun creative session with this pretty bundle from Concord & 9th called Parcel of Petals.  I wanted to make a vibrant Spring arrangement that was full of colour.  I pulled out a number of Concord & 9th colours including Oceanside, Grapefruit, Lemongrass and Peacock and die cut the pretty pieces.  It’s a great way to use up scraps of cardstock!  I stamped the liner of the envelope using the coordinating stamp set, and then started arranging the floral details (always the fun part!).

For the background, I ink blended a panel of Oceanside paper in an ombre fashion, and die cut soem texture with Concord & 9ths. Triangle Background Die. I like the variation of colour it brings, just adding a simple detail like that.  The triangles are a fun nod to the open shape of the envelope too!

Once I had the arrangment I liked, I added in some enamel dots, and the pretty sentiment dies.  Its really such a versatile set!

Meraki Harmony Hop with Crafty Meraki

Today I’m excited to hop along with the Crafty Meraki Design Team celebrating the recent Meraki Harmony Release on Instagram.  There are prizes and giveaways, so be sure to join us there!  For my card today, I created a sweet little design with the Feathered Friends Suite of products.  I’ve used the Crafty Meraki Feathered Friends Press-tacular Plate, the Feathered Friends Layering Stencil, and the coordinating die.

To create the background texture of this richly coloured design, I used the Crafty Meraki Parisienne Slimline Para-Dies, and then layered the image overtop.  With all the jewel tone shades, it feels very tropical!

The sentiment from the coordinating Feathered Friends Stamp Set is embossed, and I’ve added Jade Shadows Dew Drops for some sparkle.

Be sure to pop on over to my Instagram page and this post to join in on the hop, and enter to win!

Special Delivery Envelopes from The Stamp Market

Hello!  Today I’ve got a cutie card that’s sealed with a kiss!  For this design I’m using The Stamp Market’s January Cutest Card Kit Ever and the February Card Kit as well.  I think the envelop theme paired with the die cut flowers is such a great combination!

I started by doing a bunch of die cutting in a colourful palette with papers in the kit from The Stamp Market.  I’ve used coordinating colours in the mini envelopes and the flowers.  This took some time and its sure a patient process, but how cute are those tiny details like the envelope circles and the tiny flower centers?  So worth it.

The background is run through Concord & 9th’s Double Stripe Card Front Die to add texture.    And then its all about placing all the piece in a pleasing arrangement.

The sentiment is stamped from the January Card kit stamp set.  Sweet as can be!

Little Lamb Cuddle with RAM

Hello!  It’s been a busy couple of weeks, and a cortisone shot in the shoulder which has prevented me from being as creative as I’d like.  But I’m back today with the cutest little lamb cuddle from Rachelle Anne Miller Stamps!  This one is called Lamb Cuddle, and my link my referral code at no cost to you.  I thought this adorable little girl snuggled up with her sheep was the perfect Spring image.

She’s coloured up with Copics, and I’ve paired her with pretty plaid digital paper from RAM called Love Bugs.  I can’t wait for things to be growing in the garden again!  I added some fun pennant accents, typewriter style sentiment and a few enamel dots.  And when is the last time you used ribbon?  It’s been ages for me, but the touches of lace seemed just right.

A great design to cheer up a friend!  Thanks for joining me today!

Etched Lenten Roses with Spellbinders

Hello!  I have some gorgeous blossoms today using the Spellbinders Betterpress System and the pretty Betterpress plate that comes in the kit.  For me the more detailed a flower, the better, and these are just gorgeous!  I pressed them twice onto the cotton cardstock in the kit and then carefully cut around the flowers to create a top and bottom floral frame.

I’ve used some creative liscence for the flowers, but lenten roses or hellebore (as I imagine these are) really do have unique colours to them.  Coloured up with Copics and layered over a lilac card panel which I pressed the sentiment into.  I smooshed some ink on the panel to add some texture in the purple.  As a Canadian - I’m so appreciative of the Canadian spelling of favourite!

To accent I’ve added some pretty clear dew drops, like it just rained.  It’s such a pretty arrangement of flowers!

Coke with Lemon and Concord & 9th

After 2 LONG MONTHS, where the postal strike in Canada was NOT kind to me, I finally received my Concord & 9th Order from November today!  I lickity split started a card after work with this ridiculously cute bundle from them called Soda-Lighted.  Anyone who knows me, knows I am a Coca-Cola girl.  Like I deeply love it.  Even just hearing a can open makes my heart happy!  So, of course my first card with this set had to be a coca-cola like can.  I mean, how cute is that!

I started with the stamping of the can, used the dies to cut it out all in that quintisential bright red.  I layered the card over a die cut using the Postively Cut Card Front from Concord & 9th, to add to that red and white theme, and then just because Coke with lemon popped into my head I went ahead and grabbed the Citrus Crush Bundle from Concord and 9th and die cut the lemon as a citrussy accent.  How cute right?

Finally I added in some soda bubbles with clear Dew Drops, and the hello diecut sentiment from the Soda-Lighted set.  Crisp and cute, just like my favourite drink!

Thanks for joining me today!

Grateful for Friends Like You with RAM

Hello!  Today I’m bringing you one more autumn/gratitude card with these absolute sweeties from RAM Stamps called Autumn Friends.  The sweetness of this illustration had me pulling out my coloured pencils again and bringing a fun fall colour combo to life in the design.

A stitched die is the perfect border for the design and I added it to a backdrop of die cut leaves from a Concord & 9th die.  Such a great way to tie in all of those colours together.

I also added in a vellum pennant with some texture which I ink blended some rosy ink onto.  And, ribbon seemed to be the right touch - even though I so rarely use it these days.

The cutest image for a blustery day!  Full of gratitude and sweetness.

Welcome Autumn Door with Concord & 9th

A festive Hi!  I just love a creative products that can go beyond one season!  When I saw this new door set from Concord & 9th, with dies that can be used for multiple occasions and seasons, I knew it would be a great one.  Its called Door Decor Dies, and it’s fabulous!

First off I played with a colour palette that would work for a cheerful autumn scene that also had a bit of unique colour, and came up with this one with Stardust, Spiced Cider, Creamsickle, Briar Rose, Eucalyptus and Juniper.  Then I cut out all the little pieces to form the door, leave bough, wreath and accents.  I did a litte ink blending on all the elements to give them a bit of depth too.

Then its just putting the tiny pieces together!  I love Concord & 9th for their attention to details....things like the little door pulls and the tops to the pumpkins.  All done with such care.

A really fun set to create with, and I look forward to lots of other versions in the future!

My Mama the Seamstress with TCP

Lady Sewing Card

Hi!  I hope your Labour Day was great (if you’re in North America).  One of my core memories as a kid was that of my Mom sewing.  She was a gifted seamstress, and had that as a job full time or part time throughout her life.  I can’t tell you how many garments she sewed for me or for our kids over the years.  She was so gifted at it.  I remember her teaching me and her favourite phrase was “rip it out”.  It always mattered to her that I did it right.  She was always dressed beautifully and almost always something she had sewn.

So this cute design is in honour of her.  It uses a new digi set from TCP called One Stitch.  It features all kinds of textile arts, embroider, crochet, knitting and sewing.  I coloured the image up with Copics, with some coloured pencil blending added.

I used a lot of fun colours to coordinate with this pretty plaid paper, and added little stitching themed dies and buttons from retired TCP dies.  She’s definitely got her fashion on!

And, just like my Mom - a “you’re amazing” sentiment.  She truly was, and I miss her greatly!  Glad to have a sweet memory of her to celebrate with you today!

Hello Mushrooms with Concord & 9th

Hello There!  Today I have the most adorable little mushroom theme with new items from Concord & 9th.  This set is called the Toadstool Bundle, and it includes a turnaround stamp, as well as coordinating dies and sentiments.  I’m pretty pleased with a cute colour palette I chose of Concord& 9th inks - Poppy, Juniper, Tidepool and Cobblestone.  It feels fresh!

I started by stamping the background 4 times wiht the Turnaround stamps, then added the separate stamping of the Fly Agaric Mushroom and little flowers.  I popped them onto postage stamp die cuts (Waffle Flower).  The sentiment is from the die set, I just trimmed it to 1/2 of its normal size of words.

Accents are simple enamel dots scattered, and in the flower centers, and its altogether cuteness for an Autumn design.  Thanks for joining me!

Anemones on Acetate wiht Spellbinders

Hello!  And happy new week!  Today I’ve dabbled with some beautiful anemone flowers a clear cardstock to bring a lovely friendship card.   I began with Spellbinders Anemone Glimmer Blooms set, foiling the flower image twice, using the coordinating die to cut it out.

Next, I coloured it in deep periwinkle colours with B60, B63, B66 and B69.  Then I split one of the images in 1/2 and arranged it on clear cardstock.  To help the colours pop, I added a layer of vellum which had been ink blended in soft blue under the acetate layer, it gives a sense of anchoring for the flowers.

This set comes with the scripty friend die which I cut 3 x in blue cardstock, stacked together with glue and then added it to a shimmery white strip of paper.  A few iridescent sequins finish off the sparkle.  It’s a very glamorous look!

You’re Zesty!

Hello!  I’ve got a cutie for today!  When I saw the inspiration prompt from Color Throwdown, I couldn’t get the citrus idea out of my head!  So, I pulled out my new products from Concord & 9th Citrus Bundle to create this cutie!

I started with the background using the Turnaround Stamp with the color challenge selections, and layered some vellum overtop to soften the effect of the background.

Next I stamped the sentiment in the three colours in an ombre style, softening the transitions with coloured pencil.  This color combo packs a great punch!  Then I made use of the smaller fruit dies in the set to create little oranges, lemons and grapefruit to accent the sentiment.  A bit of white gel pen gives some definition to the rind of the fruit, and the tiny segments of the fruit.

Accents are just simple enamel dots on the fruit blossoms and a bit of twine to tie it all together.  So adorable!
