Wishing each of you friends the most hopeful New Year yet. May it be a year of growth, satisfaction and purpose!

CardMaker and Crate Paper Hop!
If you're looking for my Flourishes New Release Post with Pinwheels and Popsicles...please scroll down!
Today the CardMaker Blog Team gets to pair up with Crate Paper and play! I had so much fun with the Maggie Holmes Collection creating this vibrant and shabby Birthday Card.
Can you believe all these fun elements? There's only one tiny bit of stamping on this card! The rest is fun parts from the collection, sweet little ephemera elements that I coloured up with Copics, fun sparkly Thicker Alpha stickers for the happy words (and the larger part of an apostrophe for the butterfly body), and then a sweet little bow to match the gorgeous paper. I think it's so pretty and full of celebration. I stamped wishes to you from Flourishes Inside and Out Happy set, and swiped my copic marker over top and that was all the stamping I needed!
Now you're going to want to head on over to Annabelle O'Malley's blog to see what fun she has in store with this collection.
And don't forget....Crate Paper will be hosting a giveaway on their blog of a $40 prize pack of Maggie Holmes items!
If you get lost along the way head back to the CardMaker Blog and start on over you don't want to miss any of the fun :)

CardMaker Giveaway with The Cat's Pajamas
As a person who loves colouring, I am naturally drawn to images that are either realistic and botanical, or images that are cute and whimsical. One of my favourite places for those fun styles with whimsy is The Cat's Pajamas; I had the pleasure of guesting with them last year, which was so fun. Today I'm excited to show TCP off a little to you!
AND....it's an extra-fun day today! It's my turn at the CardMaker Magazine Blog to give something away! The Cat's Pajamas has generously donated a $25 gift certificate to the winner. All you have to do is comment here to win, please leave your email address so I can contact you if your name is chosen.
And here's a little TCP inspiration I made for you today that shows off just how cute these stamps are.
I have a very particular affection for this character....Mr. Bun Bun :) Those ears just get me every time! This set is called Away We Go. How can you resist those big bunny ears in a hot air balloon? I coloured him up with Copics to match this very fun MME paper - Come Away With Me. It's the perfect match with the travelling theme...and hot air balloons in the background.
The sentiment flag is also a part of one of the pages of DP, and I accented with some sewing and fun little buttons and twine.
So, leave a comment here, and I'll draw a name June 28th by 11 pm MTN Time, and you can claim your TCP Prize!

CardMaker and Scrapbook Adhesives Blog Hop!
What a fun day today! The CardMaker Magazine Blog Team has paired up with Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to bring you a very fun hop today showing off all that's available with Scrapbook Adhesives. All I have to say is WOW! Not only were they really generous with us - but they have some awesome products that I had not seen before! So, I know you'll see some great and inspiring things today on the hop.
Adhesive is an essential in card making. And the truth is - the RIGHT adhesive makes all the difference on a project being effective. So today I wanted to show off a number of different applications that used different products in this sweet birthday set I created.
I love when gift packaging is coordinated! So here's a sweet summer Birthday card and a very fun gift box I created from a Silhouette Cut File I found by Samantha Walker.
I began with the card creating some fun pennant style elements with Teresa Collins Memories Paper and Flourishes Kid's Play stamp set. The image is embossed on the icy blue paper and then I added some Scrapbook Adhesives Black Photo Corners to the right edges of the design to accent the main panel and some 3D Foam Squares to pop the panel up a little.
Now for the very fun gift box that opens so uniquely.... I just love how cute it is!
Here I used a number of products including Crafty Power Tape to hold the panels of the box together. It's a lot stronger than regular adhesive which is perfect for a box. I also used it to adhere the ribbon on the belly band for the box too. Then, to accent the box I added a pretty felt flower adhering it with medium Dodz which is perfect for holding it together.
Here's a picture of all the awesome adhesives I used for the Birthday set. It's so nice to have the right products for a project like this!
Want some fun news? Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® is sponsoring two Adhesive Prize packages worth $25 each. One winner will be randomly drawn from comments on the Crafty Power Blog, and the other will be randomly drawn from comments on the participating blog posts. Be sure to comment on each blog for your chances to win. The contest is open from June 19, 8:00 am EST, until June 21, 8:00 am EST. Winners will be announced on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Crafty Power Blog! Be sure to stop by and enter for some of these great products yourself!
Now head on over to the talented Kelly Klapstein to see what she's created!
