Creamy Magnolias with Crafty Meraki

Hello!  I’m back today with another lovely design using the Meraki Harmony Release from Crafty Meraki!  Today the designers are joining together with another hop to celebrate!  Be sure to pop on over to this post Instagram to enter to win!

Today I have a rich design using the new Whimsical Magnolias Stamp, and Whimsical Magnolias Coordinating Meraki Para-Dies.  I created a design that opens on the 3/4 mark to allow the beautiful Magnolias to spill over the edge.

I stamped the flowers in a soft ink to let the cream of the petals show through, then placed them over a background created of weaving different strips from the Crafty Meraki Strip Suite - ZigZag Zoom Die Set with straight strips for texture.  I've also foiled a pretty butterfly on vellum from the Flutter Glow Presstacular Plate.  Colouring the back of the vellum with Copics.

The sentiment is also from the sent and embossed in gold to coordinate with the pretty old sparkly paper on the 3/4 edge.

A Crafty Meraki Surprise!

Well,  Hi there!  Today I’ve got a sweet surprise for you!  I was asked to hop along with Crafty Meraki’s  #MerakiCheer New Release of 5 gorgeous new pattern papers to play with!  And if you follow along on the hop on Instagram you could have a chance to win these delightful papers!  So, please pop on over to my instagram account @christinecreationsart and follow the hop with the instructions.  I’d love to see you win!

Today I’m playing with the new Rainbow Reverie patterned paper and a beautiful stamp called Reason to Smile.  It’s a gorgeous floral arrangement that was a delight to colour no-line style with Copics and coloured pencils to coordinate with this awesome pastel rainbow patterned paper.  It feels so springy!

I die cut the image out with the coordinating Crafty Meraki Reason to Smile Para-Dies and used foam dots to pop it up on the patterned paper which I die cut a white frame to showcase the florals.    Then I stamped the sentiment layers with coordinating inks and added them to the bottom corner.  A few enamel dots in the matching blues accent the design.

Smile friends!  You are beautiful!  Thanks to Crafty Meraki for letting me play along today!

Slimline Garden Bouquet

When I developed my front flower bed I had in mind to create a colour palette of peaches and orange, lime green and burgundy.  Rich and citrusy.  Right now all the new tulips I planted last fall are starting to bloom and it’s been so fun to see the different elements come to life.  So, this pretty design from Power Poppy using Abundant Petals and the coordinating dies was a sweet nod to those flowers.

I coloured these gorgeous petals with Copics no-line style, use the dies to trim them out and arrnaged them on a mini-slimline size card.  The dies are from Pink Fresh Studio - Mini Slimline Essential Bundle Dies.   I often reach for them when I’m making a slimline design.  I love the mini size!

A perfect way to say thank you to someone!
