Happy Friday! Today I’m bringing you two lovely designs using two mediums. Some images just invite more time because they are beautifully detailed. This image from Power Poppy is called Perched in the Orchids. The amazing details of the image, the delicate orchids and the colouring on the Sun Conure Birds really make an awesome piece, especially when you have time to put a little more into it.
I’ve done the card with both Copic Markers and Watercolours. This first design showcases the vibrant colour you can get using Copics, and it’s so perfect for those colourful feathers on the birds.
A simple CAS card design allowing all the colouring to shine against some teal patterned paper. The sentiment is a sweet one from an older Stampin’ Up! set.
Next up is the watercolouring version of this image:
These little birds have great personality as they’re tucking in close to each other. Delightful to colour and paint!
Let me know which medium is your favourite! Thanks for joining me today!

This is just gorgeous, the coloring and shading is amazing
Always enjoy your beautiful coloring, Gorgeous!
Hope your year is off to a great start!
Christine, your coloring has always amazed and delighted me! I love this amazing image with these sweet birds together and the gorgeous orchids. I'm a Copic gal myself and agree with your description of both of these cards and the media you've used. I have tried watercoloring a bit and just haven't had the time to do more. So I always fall back on Copic markers. They truly have made these stunning Sun Conure birds pop with beauty! Hugs and love, sweet friend! xoxo
Oh, my! I'm beside myself with wonder and awe. This is one of my favorites of Marcy's digis and you've shown it in all its glory. You are amazing with either medium. I'm especially fond of the watercolor.
