How about a couple of cards with some of my new Stampin' Up! stamps? Sound good? I've been neck deep in kids' Valentines (60 + of them!). So this is a welcome change!
Precious Prayers
Today's color challenge at SCS is Pink Pirouette, Perfect Plum and Kiwi Kiss. I knew I wanted to use this set, and I really love how it came together. I think this set is so elegant. I am always needing a set just like this, letting people know we care...
I stamped the flowered branch 3 x, used the Kiwi image as my main piece and cut out (yes I really did) the little flowers and added them with glue dots or just adhesive. I used some Mono Multi on each flower and added pretty white beads. It has a very delicate look.
Otherwise simply embellished. I did run the Pink Pirouette piece through my Big Shot with the flowered embossing folder. Here you can see the beads a little better.
This will be for one of our front office staff members/youth parents. She was on route to England knowing her Dad was passing away and he died before she arrived. That always wrenches my heart...but at least she is there now with her family.
Here for You
This was the one set in the new Catalogue that I HAD to have. There's just something about bird sets...but you know what I like best of all about this set? The wheel that goes with it! Is it EVER nice! Such pretty sayings, fashioned so well. It makes a great background wheel.
This is for a swap tonight with my Cheesy Chicks group. I used the Damask stamp on the background layer, and as a shadow in the top of the top note and under the sentiment stamp. I embossed with the Damask folder in my Big Shot on the top of the Top Note piece and on the patterned paper along the bottom (which also has a bit of a damask pattern). Sometimes it's all about carrying the details through a card that give it a unified feel.
The bird is stamped twice. I colored in some highlight on the branch with a Sahara Sand SW Marker and popped up the Brocade Blue bird.
Back tomorrow with some FABULOUS new releases from Flourishes! It's a great release week ahead!

Christine, these are awesome and so beautiful!!!!! Did you use the new textured plates? I have been wondering about those. Great work!!!!
These are so beautiful! I love the first one in how you've used the colours and the layout is fabulous. The second is beautiful too!
I love the trees in that set! The words aren't as useful to me but I wish I could have that trees!!!
On a diff note, after much procrastination, I am planning to set up a blog roll. I am wondering if I may add your blog to the eventual list?
Thanks!
Very pretty. Great springy colors on the first one and I like the framing and bird on the second.
Love that card for today's color challenge! I was afraid to try those colors together, but you rocked it!
Christine, simply beautiful!! Those colors are precious!
