Happy new week to you! Today I have an awesome design that makes such a showstopper effect! Did you know you can foil onto more than just cardstock with great effect? I recently purchased the beautiful Pretty Blossoms Suite of products from Pinkfresh Studios. I think they are a gorgeous arrangement and you can combine the products in multiple ways. I started hot foiling the Pretty Blossom Foiling die onto acetate cardstock. Oh man, when you lift that foil its just magic to see how it impresses into the acetate and adds all this gorgeous gold shine.
Next I used the Pretty Blossom Stencil and warm shades of yellow and cool blues in Concord & 9th inks to make a gorgeous primary colour combo, then I used the coordinating dies to cut the flowers out, making the arrangement smaller than the foiled acetate card front. This way when you add it to the inside of the card some of your clear acetate shows through on the edges. There are a few spots where the foil added extra, but I don’t mind it!
I created an “inner folded card” in soft blue that had been run through Pinkfresh’s Ornate Medallions cover plate die. This just adds a little big of texture and interest. I lined up the acetate layer with the inner card and adhered it down for a perfect match. I love that its layer upon layer of interest that shows through the acetate.
The pretty sentiment is from Spellbinders Yana’s Sentiments, accented with two enamel dot hearts. So happy with how it all came together.
