Rosy Violets with Prismacolor Pencils

Today I’m bringing you a bountiful bouquet from Power Poppy using pencils for a change.  I started with the Power Poppy's Flower Bomb Digital Stamp Set and brought it to life with Prismacolor Pencils.  Slowing building colour up with light pencil strokes and lots of layers.  I love the combination of blue-purple especially paired with red, as I think it makes a striking combination.

The design is die-cut with a Spellbinder’s die, and I threaded some baker’s twine through the design.  Seeing as the die looks a bit like eyelet lace, I paired it with an eyelet lace looking embossing folder.  All that textured white is so pretty with the colours of the image.  The sequins aren’t really turquoise, but a clear iridescent and they shine different colours depending on the way you turn the card.

For the sentiment I cut out the word “beautiful” with a TCP die and used Copic markers to give that ombre effect.

Pop on by to see some more beautiful inspiration coming from the team...and keep on the lookout for a SWEET SALE at Power Poppy coming up soon!
