As I said on the FLLC Blog, when I was little and already loved to craft, you'd find me snipping and cutting and coloring away. My Mom used to call me a German nickname, Schnippezack, which loosely translated means, someone who loves to cut things :) Now our youngest son is exactly the same way!
I find though, cutting something out and popping it up on your design really gives it that special wow factor.
I'll show you pictures of two of my projects, and the step by steps in the Tutorial are on the Flourishes Blog.
This first design demonstrates how to create a look of realism in the Sunflower petals from this beautiful Sunflowers Set by using dimension.
The paper here is from K & Co - Tim Coffey - Cottage Garden. As you know I've been loving these papers lately!
This next design shows how to get the look of a scene with foreground and background in the dimension using the Poppy Patch set.
Isn't the poppy paper just perfect? I absolutely love these colors together! It's also K & Co Susan Winget - Spring Blossom.
I really had fun playing with the pointillism background with my copic markers combining the different colors I used in the flowers and leaves. I also colored the Bracket Pearls with my Copic Markers to match the green in the design in my paper.
