Spring Blossoms

Well, it's BLAZIN' hot here today, so the idea of spring blossoms seems a little far-fetched :) But I thought I'd do one last card for the Dare to Get Dirty Challenges with Susan's Challenge today.

This is new Cottage Wall Designer paper from SU! I think it's so pretty a lovely blend of Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry and Pale Plum.

It's actually a pretty simple card, because the sketch was so easy to follow. I did pop up the little birdhouse, and added sponging around the edges of the main tree image to give it a soft glow.

Alright, we going to try to beat the heat today with some water at the lake!

Recipe: Stamps: Branch Out, Sweet Little Sentiments; Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Pale Plum, Old Olive; Paper: Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, Whisper White, Cottage Wall DSP; Accessories: Sponge, Dimensionals, EE Brads, Felt Fusion Flowers, Razzleberry Ribbon.

A Touch of Class

Isn't black and white the classiest combination around? Perfect for a sense of drama...well you throw just the tiniest pop of red in there and WOW!

This is my last card today... it's a two-fer for both Sharon and Cindy's challenges this afternoon.

I've combined two Flourishes sets one for the backgrounds and one for the main image. I think the flourishes in the background really add to the elegance of the design.
Just a pop of red, with a watercolored poppy, and a tiny sliver of red outlining the circle.

If you look closely, you can see I added two tiny tabs on the top of the sentiment, one on each side to tuck under the main circle but allow the ribbon to feed through the middle.

Recipe: Stamps: Flourishes - Flourished Elements, Poppy Patch; Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Stazon Black; Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, Riding Hood Red, Watercolor paper; Accessories: Corner Rounder Punch, Reinkers, Aqua Painter, Gingham Ribbon (Flourishes), Kaiser Pearls, Dimensionals

DTGD Citrus Lemon

Hey Everyone! It's post TWO for me today, so scroll down to post one :)

This challenge is hosted by Cindy Lawrence, one of my partners in Design at Flourishes. She has a great sketch for us!
I colored this gorgeous lemon with copic markers (Buttercup and Evergreen collections from Flourishes). The papers are Basic Grey's Urban Prairie and Perhaps. Isn't the silk ribbon fabulous. One of my favourite ribbons to tie an elegant bow!

I'll be back later with ONE more challenge from the Dare to Get Dirty Challenges later today!

Recipe: Stamps: Flourishes: Life Love and Lemons; Ink: Always Artichoke, Old Olive, Mememto Tuxedo Black; Paper: Always Artichoke, Old Olive, Flourishes Classic White Copic Paper, Basic Grey - Perhaps and Urban Prairie; Accessories: Big Shot, Octagonal Nestabilities, Eyelet Border, Silk Ribbon (Flourishes), Copic Markers, Kaiser Pearls, Dimensionals
