Welcome to our first Power & Spark Challenge with Power Poppy for 2018! As I mentioned earlier this week, I’m on a decidedly SPRING theme this month, so I pulled out Power Poppy’s set Natural Beauties because it just sings Spring! I stamped the row of spring flowers (daffodils, primrose and tulips, then added one of the single stamps of lily of the valley in the row to fill out the row. I stamped a second set of tulips and after colouring it all up with Copics, trimmed them out to create the focal point on some vellum. This was you still get a peek at the pretty flowers behind the translucence of the vellum.
Here’s what the sketch looks like.
I’ve added some embroidery floss behind the tulips, a few enamel dots and a pretty scrolled border to finish it off. I just love the bursts of colour!
