Tiny Cafes

I had a blast creating some little cafe’s this week to use with Gift Certificates I’m sending to staff members I work with.  I adore Concord & 9th’s Pop-Up Shoppe Dies and it was a great excuse to pull the dies out to create a trio of fun cards.  I have two pop up cafes and one traditional card design to show you.

One of our staff members really loves tea, and tea a very specific way at a certain temperature, and Starbucks does it for him the way he likes, so this design is to give you the feel of being at a Starbucks Cafe.  I made use of the basic Pop-Up Shoppe dies as well as the Bake Shoppe Bundle for a cozy spot with a friend.

Next I created a similar design for a female staff member.

This was a fun colour palette to work with.  On the back wall of the shoppe I used Concord & 9th's Quilted Cardfront Die on patterned paper for a little texture.

The little pop up sign is always so cute!  It’s stamped with the coordinating Book Shoppe Stamp Set.  These dies give me all the miniature dollhouse childhood feels!

And finally, the last card is a traditional card front to showcase how great these dies are, not only for a pop up card, but also to make really cute cards with more simplicity.  This was created to feel a bit more masculine with a more neutral forward colour palette.  I sponged a background through MFT’s Small Brick Wall Stencil with the new Distress Oxide ink called Lost Shadow.

Then all the little pieces make a great scene.  This card is for my boss, who really is pretty great!

They are such fun cards to create and to give away!
