Back today with another sweet design from Marcy’s new Va-Va-Valentines Digital Release! I love every single one of these little images and it’s been fun to give them some colour and put them into cards. Even though they’re considered Valentines - I’m going to use this one for my niece who just had a birthday, she’s a basketball player, so I think the play on words will work really well. I love the retro-feel to the fan.
I used really limited colours on this one, just 5 markers to colour. You can see on the picture below that I coloured the {heart} fan blades in grey first and accented them a little with the BG markers to tie it together, but still have that metallic feel. I also wanted to create the feeling of movement throughout the card, so I found a fun swirly embossing folder for the background to accent the swirlys of the air from the fan.
Some cute x’s and o’s paper to accent and anchor the bottom, and a couple of stitched hearts with silver metallic sequins as accent.
Here’s a picture of all the images - aren’t the ALL darling? And at only $6 it’s a steal! Limited time only! So I hope you grab them up!
Don’t forget that you have 5 days left in our January Power & Spark Challenge to Grab A Map! A $50 Power Poppy Shopping Spree is on the line!

Love, love, love this set of digis and the adorable card you made! Love the color scheme and the awesome way you colored it up! You helped to "sell me" on the set!
I'm sold too! I'm such a "fan"!
I'm a little late, but I dearly, dearly love your card! I haven't downloaded this set yet, but I just might have to. So much fun! Love your colors and your shadowing of the "fan".
This is such a fun card, Christine!! The colors bring a definite spin and I really like the combination of the stitched circles die...just too fun!!
Beautiful card and coloring, Christine, and I know your niece loved this card. I love the gradation of color and love how you shadowed the word "fan" along with the sweet accents. These are just the sweetest digis. Beautifully done! Hugs!
