Spring Blossoms

Happy Friday!  How about something completely feminine and spring-like?  I was in the mood for that when I saw this lovely pack of paper from My Mind’s Eye - Jubilee - Sherbet.  I thought it would go so well with Power Poppy’s Springtime Love set that so perfectly captures how delicate Spring is.

The colour palette I used in colouring is taken directly from this sheet of paper and the sketch is this week’s Mojo Monday sketch.  Because the boldness of the colouring and the boldness of the paper could compete with one another I also added some strips of vellum to soften the effect.

Finishing touches include zigzag sewing, pretty lace and enamel dots.

Here’s the Copics I used to give it some life.  Ah...a breath of fresh spring air!  Can’t wait till it’s really here!

Don’t forget about our month long challenge over at Power Poppy this month, Go for the Gold!

Play along and you could win some fabulous Power Poppy Stamps!

Join these other Bloom Brigaders to see what fabulous inspiration they have for you today....

Your card looks so fresh and pretty, Christine! I love that stamp with all those gorgeous flowers. I can't wait until my flower garden begins to wake from its wintry sleep. It always seems magical to witness those little green stems poking through the still cold ground.

Love the way you used vellum to place your sentiment, and the stitching around the panels looks lovely. Thank you for sharing.
