June Blog Hop!

We’re excited that you can now purchase all these fantastic June sets from Power Poppy today!  And we’re celebrating with another fantastic Blog Hop with the Bloom Brigade.  Haven’t you enjoyed seeing the wonderful variety of sets that Marcy put together?  I think it’s another home run in the Power Poppy books!

I chose to work with Marcy’s fantastic set Play Ball!  I love the vintage baseball theme and had to pull it out again.  I stamped the ball cap onto Cougar Opaque White cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured it with Copics and then added Prismacolor Pencils to get some more depth, for the softness of the sky and the blades of grass.  The sketch is this week’s Mojo Sketch:  Tall and Skinny.

I thought the bold stripes in the designer paper would work well, and then I stamped the baseball threads into the paper as a background, added the pennants and some enamel dots.

Here’s a look at the inside of the card with some simple stamping of the pennant and sentiments.  I really like the blue and green combo.

The gang’s all here to show off today’s awesome sets so be sure to stop by all of the blogs and visit.

A great card made with this wonderful set that would add so much to my stamp collection. I don't have very many masculine images in my massive collection, and this one is so versatile.

Christine, you have the most wonderful way of working with colors! You've got mad design skills, too. Love how you framed the image with the two pennants. The stripes are just perfect, too, like a uniform. Love it all!

How funny that we used the same set and same sketch, and came up with such completely different cards! The COLORS on this are soooo yummy! Love your use of the pennants and the sweet little grass blades drawn in around the hat. Awesome, awesome card!

Christine, this is amazing....I LOVE how you incorporated elements of a ball game in to your gorgeous card. The pin stripe paper, the gorgeous greens (I can just picture a freshly mowed ball field), that fun pennant, and your stellar coloring....simply amazing and so very creative! :)
