A Flourishes Let's Hop Challenge

Welcome to the December Pre-Release Challenge at Flourishes!  It's going to be another great month of stamp sets coming your way next week and we want to start it all off with a very fun challenge.  It's a Progressive Challenge (like last month) but this month you need to find the steps and clues at each of the DT members today.  You should have come from Cindy's Blog, if you get lost along the way be sure to head back to the Flourishes Blog.

I have step number 4 which is an Inspiration photo!

And here's the card I created....

I wanted to keep the feeling of the design of the inspiration photo with the blocks of patterned paper taking on the feeling of the succulents in the photo.  I stamped the pretty ranunculus flowers from the set Sweet Nature, onto Flourishes Classic Ivory cardstock with Toffee Crunch ink giving it that no-line look for colouring.

The designers paper are new in the store, from Teresa Collins called Spring Fling.  It has the perfect tones for this design.  I cut out all the shapes with my Spellbinders hexagon dies in the smallest shape, then embossed over top after they were all attached with the beautiful Fireflies Embossing Folder.  I think it gives a great textured look and almost the feeling of a quilt.  The card base is cut with the Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles die that Stacy has used so beautifully often.  Then to finish it off I have some pretty scalloped rhinestones from the Spring Fling Collection, and some pretty crochet lace.

And here's a quick peek at the inside.  I didn't want to take away from the design on the outside.

Now it's your turn to head to the lovely......Silke to get the next step for the Let's Hop Challenge.

I hope you've had fun along the hop so far and I look forward to your designs with the challenge!  If you play along you can win the entire December New Release of stamps!    Be sure to link to the Flourishes Blog.
