Sentimental Favorites

Today's stamp set Sentimental Favorites, is a perfect addition to the Flourishes Collection.  It's ALL sentiments, in beautiful creative fonts that will cover a lot of the ocassions you need to celebrate and commemerate.  I really loved pairing it today with another of my Flourishes favourites - Cherry Blossoms.  I think the elegance and simplicity of this set pairs very well for a Sympathy card.  One you hope not to have to make, but when you do - you really want it to mean something special.  

Coloring is done with Copic Markers using the Color Made Easy Line Candy Pink of markers, and the pink cardstock for the sentiment.  I also used some Kaiser Sugar Nelly for the background layer and though it's hard to tell from the photo I inked the edges with some Spun Sugar Ranger Distress Ink to get it to the same tones as the coloring.  The main card shape is a new Spellbinders Grand Decorative Ovals One Die, it's pretty spectacular.  I just die cut it, leaving a fold in my paper on the left side to be able to form a card base, and I love how it turned out.  

I've incorporated some gorgeous Pink Scalloped Lace from the store, some Saville Row Candi for the Grommet Tags and the sentiment, a pearl for the butterfly die cut, and a satin bow.  Grey and pink always pair so beautifully together.
