Today I get to be the hostess at the There She Goes Blog on Stampbook Saturday :) It's a chance for the TSG girls to be inspired by a card creation and put that into a scrapbook page.
I love the There She Goes Believe in You set and I went back in the TSG Gallery and found this little beauty by Lisa Henke (you can see it on the TSG Blog if you're interested - its' really cute!)
Well, I took her inspiration from the card and put it into a 12 x 12 Scrapbook page of our middle Son 8 years ago when he started Pre-School. He was so little then, so cute, so blonde! (You can click on any of these pictures if you like to see them larger :)
As you can see I kept some of the same colors and themes and basic layout.
One fun detail I'll show you is the little pull-tab where the journalling is... sorry for the glare, it's so hard to get the right light without the camera picking up the gloss of the pictures.
You can pull it out to read, and push it back in to hide it too :)
When he saw the page he was like "MUM I had a mushroom cut?!" I said "OH but you were SO cute!"
I cut the letters out of a SU Sizzix Strip Typeset alpha I think? And glued them on with a little Quickie Glue pen.
I used my note book edge punch, some cute twine and mini clips as accents, as well as the Hexagon Nestabilites.
Thanks for stopping by today...hopefully you're inspired to pull out some photos and put together a page or two. I know this set is fantastic for school pages!

AWWWWWW Christine WHAT adorable pictures of your son!!! This is such a GREAT page, layout, and LOVE these colors!!!!! Precious design!! Happy Saturday!
Cute cute page, there is so much to look at and still the photos take center stage. Love the bright colors and the extra details.
Isn't it amazing how fast they grow Christine! Daniel will be leaving in August and I'll truly have an empty nest. He was accepted to Vanderbilt and will be joining Stephen there. Can you believe it will be Stephen's senior year . . . wasn't it just yesterday we were finishing our term on the DD team and I was moaning about his leaving for school . . . . sigh . . . . what's a mother to do?
Your project brings back so many memories of my boys when they were in pre-school and elementary school . . . the years are flying!
Oh this is sooo great Christine! I love your page! With such adorable subject matter how could you go wrong? This will be a treasured page for a lifetime!
Love this page Christine.. the pictures of your young man are wonderful... Time literally flies by doesn't it. The pull tab journaling feature is so fun!
