That's Me!

Both of our boys have been blessed in this life to have friends who are girls.  I think it's good for them, to not only have a sister, but also to appreciate a friend who's a girl.  They're such boyish boys who love sports and everything manly, but they can also appreciate a friend that's a girl.   Our youngest son has had his best girl-buddy since he was born.  One of my best friends has 3 kids just like us and a youngest who's a daughter, and the two have been inseparable since birth.  I'll let you in on a little secret, in Pre-School we had to tell them to stop kissing each other.  They've talked about marrying each other since they were tiny.  Hysterical!

So when I showed our youngest son this card I said who do you think that is, and he answered, "Well that's me and Tori".  Exactly right, it's totally them :)  I think it will be a card for their family.

I started with the color palette from the papers.  Pretty aren't they?  Webster's Waiting for Santa/Sweet Season.  And then I colored up this sweet sweet image from There She Goes latest release, called Wonderful Winter Wishes  with a bazillion Copics trying to get the colors right.

I used some pretty black Braided Trim on the rows and stamped the border stamp along the bottom in White Craft ink.

Alrighty....we're into another week of 2011 and Winter!  I hope to make the most of it.  Blessings friends!

Stamps:  There She Goes - Wonderful Winter Wishes;  Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, White Craft Ink;  Paper:  Rose Red, Baja Breeze, Basic Black, Flourishes Classic White, Webster's Petite Papers - Waiting for Santa/Sweet Season;  Accessories:  Big Shot, Labels 10 Nesties, Oval Nesties, Copic Markers, Black Braided Trim, Rhinestones, Dimensionals

  1. What a cute card and story about your boys.

Speaking of matching colours, do you have the Copic Book? I got a just before Christmas and I used it for the first time on Saturday. I was colouring and trying to match to DP and pulled out my book and it worked like a charm! You should try it. It's also exciting to then know which markers you have while you're shopping. A good investment for $6-$7.
