Nest is Best

Welcome Friends!  We’ve got some creative fun going on at Power Poppy this weekend!  Marcy is doing a Digital Blitz!  She’s releasing 18 new digital images that have only been available as clear stamps up till now, and ALL Digis are on SALE this weekend for 20% off!  I’m giving you a bit of a Sneak Peek as the sale isn’t officially until tomorrow, but you can find some of the images already listed in the store, cause Marcy’s great that way!  There are SO many really fabulous images she’s releasing!  It’s really hard to choose where to start!

I finally chose to work with Nest is Best.  I could not resist those little eggs in the nest!  This pretty little image was previously released in polymer stamp form as Under Glass.  Now, for the newly released digital images, you can purchase the scenes separately with and without the glass cloche overtop.  I love working with digis because you can change the size of the image, which is what I’ve done here.  I printed the charming little spring scene without the cloche and larger that originally illustrated to really show off all the bits and bobs of sweetness in the greenery, book, nest, and flowers.

All the colouring is done with Copics, and I’ve paired it with some plaid paper that matches the colours I chose.

The polka-dot embossing works as a smaller scale accent for the plaid and I’ve added a pretty wood button and twine.  The sentiment is from Power Poppy’s set, Natural Beauties.

Thanks for popping by!

This is the prettiest thing, Christine! Now I want to color this one, too. You've made it so very cheerful and, of course, your coloring always knocks me over. I'm linking this up with my post for tomorrow.
