Vibrant Flower Garden

Hello to 2019 friends!  We’ve had a bumpy start to the year with my husband getting pneumonia.  So, he’s been really sick, and if you’re a praying person, we’d sure appreciate your prayers!  So today, I’ll make this short and sweet.  I had this card made already so I thought I’d show it to you for this first post of 2019.  I spent quite a bit of time with this beauty of an image from Power Poppy’s digital collection called Love One Another.  I’ve done it 8 x 10 in watercolour HERE, but I’ve been wanting to also colour with Copics.  It is such a beautiful image.  I’ve added the sentiment from Power Poppy’s Simply Camelias polymer set, so it’s perfect for any celebration.

A closeup of the colouring gives you an idea of how I tried to tie in some of the colours together pulling from one section and adding it to other places in the image.  It’s paired with some MFT mini plaid designer paper and some gems, with a bit of twine along the bottom to anchor it.

Here’s my Copics below.  Quite a few!  But that’s my favourite colouring, when you can take your time and really give it lots of life.

Absolutely beautiful work. You always do gorgeous coloring. Prayers for your husband and you. I spent 13 days in hospital 3 in ICU about 11 years ago so i know he will have a long recovery. No matter how well he feels, it will take a while to get his strength back. Prayers for him and for you for your strength in his time of need. Many blessings.Elaine

Oh, my goodness. I've been going back and forth from Copic to watercolor and can't decide which I love best. Watercolors are soft while Copics are vivid. Both are so beautiful! I'm very sorry about Terry as I know how scary it is. With prayers and love he'll be better soon.

Christine, I can’t get over how beautiful this is!! I am always mesmerized by your coloring skills! In winter, this is especially uplifting to see. I am sure you’ve had lots of support...but I will be sure to lift him in prayer for a complete recovery. And also for you as you take care of his needs and all the other duties. My heart goes out to you.

I love this card, the colours you have used. It is like a small masterpiece with the butterfly and caterpillar there but so perfectly blended in. Amazing

Wow Christine, this is an absolute beauty and I love your color theory about bringing colors in to help the different colors sit beautifully together. I need to go back and watch your tutorial again sometime. Sending up prayers for Terry! So sorry he's so sick! Love and hugs!

Oh, sweet Christine, first of all, I've continued to pray for dear husband. Praying that he recovers quickly and completely. It's such a hard and long healing (I know having had it myself), but I know God is with you both. Praying for you too. I absolutely LOVE your coloring, no matter the medium, and this card is exquisite. Your coloring is amazing, and you've brought this to its most beautiful life! I love the colors and the beautiful DP with such a perfect layout adding just the twine. Stunning card, my friend! Warm hugs and love...and praying. xoxo
