It’s a two post day friends! If you’d like to see my TCP Sneaky Peek please scroll down.
Friday is here! I’m bringing you some celebratory Friday fun with Power Poppy’s new little digi called Layer Cake. Isn’t it just delightful? All those scrumptious layers in a row! I was perusing through layer cakes on Pinterest and found a FUN one....a confetti cake with blue/green icing. I thought it would be fun to recreate it in non-calorie form, and maybe someday I’ll try the actual recipe too.
I added some confetti colours in the cake “batter” to give it that fun-fetti look and then some simple colouring with the rest of the Copics. Cut into banners with designer paper to match it was pretty simple and straightforward.
On the card base I added some embossing paste in little dotted patterns to mimic the confetti feel and then simple enamel dots/rhinestones.
Don’t forget that you can still join in on our 3 Marker Challenge at Power Poppy, there’s still 8 days left in the challenge and there’s been some great entries so far. How about you join them and have a chance to win some new Power Poppy of your own?
Here’s our little pair of the Bloom Brigade playing along today...

Oh, Christine! YUM! I love this cake, and you've surely colored it so wonderfully -- including the delicious looking confetti "cake" inside. What a delight to my eyes and a wonderful layout with the banner dies. Stunning and fun! Great inspiration from a real recipe, eh? Love it! Hugs, and have a wonderful weekend, sweet friend!

Delicious! I just love how colorful and fun this is, Christine. Always love a design with flags. Wonder why that is? But they're so pretty! Cute that you added the confetti to the batter!
