We’ve had a fantastic week of beautiful new sets from Power Poppy in the Scents and Sensibility Collection, and now it can all be yours! We’re here to kick it all off with a fun Blog Hop.
I thought I’d lean more to the “Scents” of this release with these beautiful lilacs, done in a way that makes them feel really lush and plentiful. I stamped the main lilac image onto XPress It Blending card stock with Gray Flannel ink. It gives it a much softer feel, almost close to a no-line look for the colouring. The lilac is coloured up like I’ve seen a number of lilac bushes - in more than one colour. So, it’s a mix of purple, blue and pink, and then I mimicked that in the background, just straight stamping the lilacs onto a larger panel of white in multiple colours.
Then, to break up the effect a little bit, I used a rectangle Spellbinders die to cut out a space in the design, placing that on some pretty pink cardstock.
Finishing touches are a bit of seam binding, baker’s twine and a little jewel.
Here’s the inside of the card with another stamp in the set that has a few blooms in it.
Here’s those pretty Copics I used...lots of different shades.
Hop on over to see what the Bloom Brigade has to show off today...
