We have two great sketches for you to choose from and I chose to work with the more horizontal sketch for this design, making a card for one of the girls in our High School group that I just baptized last week. It was so special!
What I love about these sketches is the slightly wonky angles. I think it really adds interest for the eye to follow along.
I started with a couple of sets from the beautiful Flourishes Blossom Collection, Letters in Blossom and Summer Blossoms. I began by stamping the various smaller blossoms from the Summer Blossoms set onto Flourishes Classic White cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I also die cut a smaller shape from the Perfectly Pierced Classic Frames Die for the pretty letter, adding a little bough of flowers popped up from the Summer Blossoms set to work with the sketch. I picked some colours I knew she’d like as her favourite color is blue, and I coloured up all the elements with Copics.
To make the layers of the sketch work I used our Color Made Easy - True Blue Collection of cardstock, adding some soft white lace, blue seambinding, enamel dots and the light stamping of the Sending Love sentiment in Summer Sky Memento ink. To differentiate between the blue layers of cardstock I did add a little embossing to the darker blue layer.
I love how pretty and feminine it turned out! And so personalized too, which I think is special.

Christine, this is just beautiful, and what a thoughtful way to remember the special occasion! It took me a sec to realize that you colored the background as well as the monogram layer. Wow! I love the strip of ribbon and bit of lace you added, too, and the random dots balance out the card perfectly.
