October Release Challenge - Christmas with a Twist!

October-Release-Challenge

Happy Friday Flourishes friends!  Can you believe there are only 81 days until Christmas?  In a few days we'll be giving you our October edition of new Flourishes Stamps all with a Christmas theme.  And because we know you want a chance to win these beauties, this month we have a Color Challenge with a twist!  Your challenge is to create a Christmas Design without the use of the color Red or Green!  Get creative and give all of those other colors in the wheel a chance to show their holiday style!  Play in the challenge and you could win our whole October Release!

I really wanted to play with colours that I don't normally use so I decided to do a cool palette with some pretty purples and greys.  I absolutely love this snowman from Warm Winter Wishes.  His cute stripedy scarf wrapped around his neck and that cute touque make me smile every time.  I stamped on Flourishes Classic White with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  Then I went for some really soft grey and purple tones in the colouring, trimming out the scene with a little white border.  I took our Flourishes Perfectly Pierced Hourglass Die and cut out a white shape and sponged the inside of it with Memento Gray Flannel ink to provide a little backdrop for the snowman.  I also used the Gray Flannel ink on the Flourishes Color Made Easy Cool Neutrals Cardstock with other elements from the set.  I love how the ink and the cardstock pair together.  I also stamped mittens on the Color Made Easy Crocus cardstock in the background as well.

Accents include some lace and some shiny metallic Candi to accent.  Below are the Copic Collections I used.

I know you'll want to play along this month....here's
