It's always fun for us at Flourishes to pull out one of our sets we've had around for a while and "breathe new life into it", creatively speaking. Sweet Peas has been in the Flourishes stamp family for a while and we have long loved it's delicate blooms. Today the team is showing them off again for you!
I decided it would be fun to play off of both images in the set done two different ways. I began with a larger circle shaped die cut from Flourishes Classic White cardstock and stamped the larger group of blossoms in Memento New Sprout because I wanted these sweet peas to have a really soft effect. These I coloured in lightly with my copies with just a light enough shade that it would have a background feel to it, and almost that no-line look.
The for the main circular image I stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink for a bolder look and colored a bit deeper with my copic shades, and bordered it with another die cut using Flourishes Classic Black card stock. I also added the sentiment from the set Inside and Out Happy. Then I accented with some pretty braided green trim, delicate lace, black rhinestones, an Emerald Coast button and twine.
Check out what the Design Team has to show off for you today and be sure to check the Flourishes Blog again today too - we have a new Designer Focus on the lovely and talented Maki! It's your chance to case her and to win some fabulous Flourishes Goodies!
