Winter Blossoms

It's day 2 of Flourishes' Sneak Peeks for December and today brings a beautiful illustration - part of a collection that Flourishes is offering to make your world bloom.... all year long!

This gorgeous set is part of The Blossoms Collection, a beautiful array of late winter blossoms illustrated by Marcella Hawley features a bouquet, corner stamps, and pieces to create your own borders or frames. Add in a trio of all occasion sentiments and you have the perfect set to create cards for every day correspondence.

I LOVE this gorgeous set.  The flower sprays are stunning and the main blossom image will make your little heart swoon when you stamp it (can't wait to show you that one soon!).  I stamped the blossom sprays in Stazon Ink on watercolor paper and then watercolored the images with my Letraset Aqua Markers.  The pigment works beautifully on the pretty blooms, then I carefully trimmed out the images with my scissor as I was in the mountains colouring, not at home, so I couldn't use my handy dandy Silhouette cut files.  

The papers are older Bo Bunny, called Garden Girl, and the pallette was just perfect for the design.  The sentiment is stamped onto Flourishes Candy Pink Cardstock with Memento Elderberry ink, then die cut out with our new Perfectly Pierced Classic Windows die.  

Here's a closer look at some of the detailing too.  I laid down some 1/8 inch Scor Tape and added glitter to create some lovely glittery lines to the design.  The sparkle is so pretty!  I've embellished with some lush velvet ribbon, and then added some of our beautiful signature pink scalloped lace.
