Very busy weekend here in our household. It was the Kick-off Sunday to the new ministry season at our Church and that means a lot of work for us. But, it was also a great weekend and I'm looking forward to a great year ahead. We remembered 9/11 today at church too, and the local fire-fighters that are just down the street from our church always come over and show off the trucks and equipment to the kids and eat lunch with us at the BBQ. We feel very grateful for their continued service and sacrifice.
Our kids are all adjusting to their new schools, routines and teachers and making new friends - which is really good to see. I'm trying to do a better job of sending little notes along with them to school to let them know I'm thinking of them and care about their day. Especially our daughter as once we leaves for school, I don't see her again till 4:30 pm when she takes the bus home, no more lunches at home because her HS is much further away. I think that no matter what age your kids are - they could all use a sweet word in their day. So...here's a couple of little lunch notes, clean in design and 3 x 3 in size. You can click on these pics to get a larger view too :)
The very adorable Puppy Love set from TSG that was my first purchase from them. Sadly my 6 months is up on the design team, but I'm still crazy about the stamps :)
Coloring for these cuties is done with Copic Markers and I've added some dimension and shine to the hearts with some carefully placed Crystal Effects.
I've stamped the paw print from the set on the twill, and added some cute buttons and twine accents.
Back later this week with some pure gorgeousness from Flourishes in the September Releases!
Thanks for dropping by!
These are great, Christine. Need to add a few to my DD's lunch to let her know I'm thinking of her. Cute images and wonderfully coloured.
