BUT I have something much sweeter and whimsical for you today. This week's TSG Challenge is from Karen and it is to incorporate fabric into your design somewhere. There are many ways you can give a little something textile-like into a card. I happened to have some leftovers from a project I had made for my niece.
As you can probably see I've added fabric to this little cutie from Freeze the Moment in two ways. First I added a layer of fabric (the gingham design) as a layer, much like you would designer paper, and simply sewed it on with a zig zag stitch.
Then I added a little fabric scrunchy sun to the top of the card. Design of these is simple. Take a length of fabric about 5 - 6 inches long and about 2- 3 inches wide and sew up three ends, turn the fabric right side out, then take a needle with about 6 inches of thread, knotted at the end and then with your needed gather up the fabric with 1/4 inch stitches and pull to pucker the length into a circle. Sew the ends together with the needle and you have a pretty scrunchie style design that can be a flower, accent or ...like today a sunshine :)
As well, I've added some whimsy in the pretty silk bow, and I gave her dress a sort of gingham feel with some passes over the colored design with my blender pen, removing some of the color of the dress.
So, how about you find a little swatch of fabric and use it in your design? You could enter to win TSG $$ at the store! Come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (July 18).

LOVE this Christine! What a cute idea to add that "scrunchie" embellishment! I had someone make me some similar embellishments once and I've hoarded those little things for forever... never thought to use them for the challenge this week!
