Hyacinths

It's Day One of the gorgeous Sneak Peeks of the New Releases at Flourishes, and I believe today's set will WOW you!

Sigh!  Marcella really illustrated this beautifully! (like that's a surprise though hey?)  I colored this Hyacinth and vase with Copic Markers giving it some bright pink, green and soft blue to match this fun Basic Grey paper which I believe was called Lemonade...my cover ripped off of the 6 x 6 pad and I can't find it :)

I wanted the glass vase to look like old recycled glass  - sort of the Coke Bottle green so it's quite soft looking.  I also colored the seam binding with my BG72 Copic Marker to match the papers tying it in a half bow, and then added a pretty sparkler to accent it, with a little twine.

I used the inside of the heart punch to go between the two stamped sentiments.  And in the above picture you can see that I've embossed the designer paper layer with the new SU Tulips embossing folder.  I did a little out of the box on the top of the design too.

I love how hyacinths have their coloring, the edges of the petals are lighter and the centers darker, so I tried to capture that in the coloring.

Now be sure to visit the rest of the Design Team, they will wow you with this set!
