Tropical Thank You

A few nights ago friends took us out for supper to a Thai restaurant here in town.  Thai food is my favourite ethnic food, and the food at this restaurant never disappoints.  And OH BOY we had so many courses I felt like we were rolling out the door, and it was a lovely evening of conversation too.  They are both professionals and our ministry schedule doesn't often lend itself to get together so it was a wonderful treat all around.  I made this card to say thank you to them for the evening.

I've used a Verve Sketch from World Cardmaking Day...and in anticipation of their new releases coming...they have a number of sketches to choose from.

I colored the pretty Hibiscus flowers on vacation and was waiting for the right card to put them on.  I added leaves and sentiment from the Dream Big set in Pear Pizzazz and Memento Cantaloupe ink.

Coloring is done with copics, I added some sweeping strokes to create the deeper flower lines in the center.

Look at that gorgeous gem accent!  It's a Fairy Flora Pebble that goes with the Prima papers.  I love how it accents the card, and the little half bow.

Alright I'm off... our girl has a awful cold that's kept her down for several days...and I feel that sneaking sneezy feeling coming on...not going to get sick, not going to get sick!

Stamps:  Verve - Hibiscus, Dream Big;  Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, SU - Pear Pizzazz,  Memento - Cantaloupe;  Paper:  Summer Sun, Whisper White, Pear Pizzazz, Flourishes Classic White, Max and Whiskers Basic Grey, Prima Fairy Flora DSP;  Accessories:  Big Shot, Labels 16 Nesties, Dotted Sheer Ribbon, Prima Fairy Flora Pebbles, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Copic Markers (Evergreen and Sunflower Collections), Floral Screen CB Folder

  2. Absolutely gorgeous, Christine!! Love the flowers and colour combo you used as well as how you mixed the sets! Perfect Nestie as the pallet for the flowers.

Glad you got to enjoy some Thai food. We have a few good Thai restaurants here, but most of the food is a bit too hot for me - what can I say, I'm woosy LOL! I'll stick to sushi :D
