Sweetness

We took the kids to a movie this afternoon, Despicable Me 3D, and I had the best time.   Seriously, I laughed out loud, and giggled like a little kid through the whole movie, and it had such sweetness to the story too.  A great family date if you haven't seen it yet.  Stay through the credits too, there's some really funny 3D stuff at the end.

On my first SU order of this new catalogue I debated between a few sets to add to my new paper colors order, and I chose this one first.  It has such sweetness to it, and so very fun to color.

Aren't these girls precious?  And very fun to color - oh did I say that already??? :)  You get the picture.  I loved pairing them with this new paper too.  It has such a nice graphic quality to it.  The only non-SU thing on here is that I colored the image with Copic Markers (tons of them too).  I used Jen's SFYTT for this week and just reversed the panels alignment.

I did a little ribbon folding on sticky strip to get the puckered effect and added some folded ribbon *leaves* to the felt flowers.  I left it sentiment-less right now.  Somehow it would have taken away from the card.  I can always add it inside when I know what I need it for :)

Just an FYI too, I've spent quite a bit of time going through my stamping cupboard and purging things that I no longer will be using.  As a former Demo, I had a whole LOT of SU stamps, and now that I'm not demo-ing any more, I really can't justify having all of those stamps that I won't be using anymore.  So, later in August, I'll be listing all of these sets (100+ of them) for sale here on the blog, priced very very reasonably.  I've sorted through them all and taken pictures and priced....so look for it in a few weeks.  I still have to figure out the shipping costs etc.

Alright...hope you're having a lovely summer Saturday evening or hope filled Sunday day - depending on when you see this.  Thanks for popping by!

Recipe:  Stamps:  SU - The Nicest Things;  Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black;  Paper:  Pear Pizzazz, Baja Breeze, Early Espresso, Flourishes Classic White, SU Greenhouse Gala DSP;  Accessories:  Copic Markers, Big Shot, SU Lattice Embossing Folder, Taffeta Ribbon, Felt Flowers, Sticky Strip, Dimensionals, Piercer, Scallop Border Punch.

Oh what a vibrantly colorful card!!! It is just beautiful...like something you would find under a glass dome in a vintage Switzerland store. On another note...your youngest is a beautiful boy! Happy Belated B'day to him!

Great card Christine! I just love the new stamp you used - I'll have to look at my catalog more closely as I missed that one. Your coloring is perfect as always and I love your coordination with the beautiful new DP.

Love this card! I have tried the ribbon idea but it keeps coming apart...when you say sticky strip, are you talking about the red Stampin up tape or something else? I would love to know how to get the ribbon to stay put! :)

Olivia...yes it's sticky strip, the red line tape from SU but Scor Tape should work too. I just kept puckering little sections and laying them on the Sticky Tape. I hope that helps. It takes a little practise, and sometimes you have to lift it and re-adjust it.
