It's New Release Time! Flourishes has four stunning new sets this month, perfect for summer stamping, and today I'm going to sneak peek two of those sets for you; Swan Lake and Life Lines, so I have two pretty cards to show you too!
Below you can see Swan Lake is a gorgeous set filled with images perfect for that lake-side scene. I chose to use the overhanging vine and the grasses and flowers. All the images are watercolored and I've given the center some dream watercolor and added a sentiment from Life Lines in the middle. *In all things of Nature, there is something of the marvelous* Aristotle.
The sky and greenery edges are sponged using the Scalloped Square Nestie as a template. I love the dreamy look it gives. The soft subtle patterns of Memory Box Spearmint are perfect for the card.
I used the Fair Isle Borderabilities for the scalloped and embossed border along the bottom, it goes so well with the scalloped squares. And as accents, gorgeous silk ribbon paired with sparkly Prima Flower
Alright - now to something more clean and simple. I love the sentiments in the Life Lines sets, some beautiful quotes that really can be the focal point of the card.
I've paired this beautiful quote from Eleanor Roosevelt with two of the cygnets (swan babies :) ) from the Swan Lake set (aren't they adorable?) I've added very soft simple coloring with copics, highlighting one word but keeping everything really clean and simple. The shape is Labels 12 Nestabilities. I've used some beautiful embossing with my Cuttlebug Folder, added some square gems and 2 types of ribbon - Gingham and some old SU ribbon that I hadn't even cracked open yet, and it's so pretty too with the design woven in.
Now you'll want to visit the Design Team to see some gorgeous cards today... Cindy Lawrence, Danielle Kennedy, Dawn Burnworth, Julie Koerber, Laura Fredrickson, Leslie Miller, Stacy Morgan.
