Last Hurrah - Flip Flop Bella

So I was at Old Navy the other day getting my daughter some new flip flops. She tore her others right through, and we had an outdoor pool party at friends to go to last night. Wow does Old Navy ever have a lot of flip flops! I could hardly choose. She has size 8!! feet already, bigger than mine! So I ended up taking 3 pair home! I looked at the pattern on one pair and thought it would make a nice inspiration piece...so I pulled out my Bella set because it's on the Last Chance List that I'm focusing on this week (sniff sniff)...and created.

Here's the inspiration flip flops and card:

I really liked the colors and pattern to the flip flops, a blend of black, vibrant blue, a rosy red and a light yellow. I like the fun dots throughout too.

So I stamped the Bella Blossom 3 times in Rose Red and Barely Banana, cut out in sections and then sponged all the edges to give it depth of color. I used my Big Shot and Ovals Bigz die to create the focal oval and rose sentiment oval.

The main card has the pretty flowers Texturz plate, and the other layers have lots of sponging and I added white gel pen as accent and to mimic the flip flop dots. Very vivid colors, but fun too. Especially when you see the flip flops.

I'll be sad to see this set go. When I first looked at it in the catalogue it didn't wow me I thought it was too Art Deco, that was until I started seeing samples with it...it really has that WOW factor!
Thanks for stopping by today. I so appreciate it!
