2-4-6-8 Birthday Challenges!

Welcome to more of our month long Birthday Celebrations at Flourishes!  Today the team is joining together to create fun challenges for you all day long...

2-4-6-8... Help Flourishes Celebrate! That's what today is all about and if you missed our 2PM Challenge, just click HERE to catch up! Since Flourishes is turning 5, we decided to throw a little party full of challenges and chances to win Flourishes goodies! Are you ready for the 4PM Challenge?

This Challenge is all about COLOR!

I pulled together the orange, green and blues from the Inspiration photo to create this country-quilt sort-of scene with Flourishes set On the Porch.  I went to town creating the folded circles behind the main image with MME's-Indie Chic paper.   The vertical strips are embossed with an Art Noveau Folder to highlight them off of the patterned paper.

I colored up the image using Copic Markers (see below for collections), and then added some pointillism for the background, shabbying it up with some Ranger Distress ink in Antique Linen with my Ink Blending Tool.  Then some Kaiser pearls accent the design.  The card is 5 1/2 x 5 1/2  in size.

Here's how I rolled the circular background elements.

I loved the reverse pattern on the blue and green patterned paper sheets, but the pattern on the orange sheets was that darker green that wouldn't have worked with the palette, so I just reversed the direction of those pieces, sticking them down so only the orange would show.  Scor Tape is great for holding them together so they won't pop apart at any point.

HOW TO PLAY: Pick up the hues in our inspiration photo above and create to your hearts content! Just that simple! Use Flourishes stamps if you have them -- your entries will count twice. If you don't have Flourishes stamps, play along anyway, you could win some! If you upload to SCS, please use the keyword FLLCIS5B. You have until July 31st to enter and can enter as many times as you like! Some of our designers have helped us celebrate with a little color! If you need some inspiration, be sure to hop on over and see...
  The OFFICIAL Rules…..
  • Simply create a card using the colors in the inspiration photo!
  • Entries need to be in by Friday, August 31 by 5 PM EST
  • Those that use Flourishes stamps will be counted twice for their entry
  • You must link your creation on this post using our inlinkz widget in order to qualify
  • You must have a link to our challenge in your blog or gallery post
  • Please DO NOT combine challenges.
  • If you upload to SCS, please use the keyword FLLCIS5B
  • We’ll announce the winners Tuesday, September 4th at noon CST!
HOW CAN YOU WIN? Play in this challenge and that counts as one entry for a stamping prize pack (including stamps and other goodies!) Play in all five and you will be entered toward our grand prize! Winners will be drawn randomly but if your card is one of our designers' faves, your work will be added to our Customer Cards Gallery on Pinterest for all to see! So get those fingers inky and join us for our birthday bash!

Take note... the next challenge is coming your way in just 2 hours... at 6PM CST! See you then!
