Clear Card Florals Two Ways

I have a fun pair of designs today using clear acetate as my card base and gorgeous florals from Concord & 9th.  The peek through quality of acetate card bases is such a fun twist on a card.  I started with Concord & 9th’s lovely Blended Petals Bundle that I purchased on their big sale.  Those awesome open petals are perfect for ink blending through the stencil, or colouring, as I did here.

We’ll start with the ink blended Birthday design.

I chose some fun colours from Concord & 9th inks to create a soft blend between Clementine, Spiced Cider, Sorbet and Dragonfruit for the flowers, and used Lemongrass and Avocado for the leaves.  I love that with ink blending you can achieve soft to saturated with your colours.  I placed the pretty flowers onto a acetate card base that I covered with the Plaid Card Front Bundle Dies.  They provide that perfect peekaboo through the clear cardstock.

I added the ink blended sentiment from the set, and a few enamel dots to accent.  A perfect summer card!

Next the Copic Coloured card.

On this design I’ve left more clear space and cut my Copic coloured flowers to create more of a floral spray.  Then I made use of a pretty die cut in Dragonfruit to tuck the flowers through so it feels framed, and provides a way to disguise the writing inside of the card, which you always have to think about with acetate.  I love the saturated vibrancy you can get with Copics, and its always fun to colour.

The pretty sentiment is also included in the set, as well as some enamel dots.  It’s juicy in all its citrusy summer colour!
