We’ve come to the end of our gorgeous Sneak Peeks at Power Poppy! Today we finish it all off with the healthy, nutritious and pretty Cabbage and Kale! Marcy is always ahead of the curve in finding creative things to illustrate and I think this is another trend-setter! Who would have dreamed veggies could be this fun to colour up!
As always, I go perusing to see what fun combinations this flora comes in, and I found a pretty palette trio that worked well together with bright green, blue-gray and purple and purple and deep green.
When I trimmed them all out and placed them together I thought that purple would make a really great backdrop, so I pulled out my Ranger Oxide Ink in Wilted Violet and Twisted Citron, sponged it onto my cardstock and then spritzed with water. When it oxidizes it make such a cool pattern!
To anchor the trio, I die cut some circle frames and tucked them behind the cabbages and kale, and I think it helps frame the sentiment as well. I added some Nuvo Dots directly to the background, and even they oxidized the paper, so you can see each dot has a bit of a warm glow around it.
Have you heard? Marcy’s giving away four sets! Leave a comment on this post and you’re in the running! Be sure to stop by all my Bloom Brigade sister’s spots to see their creativity! They never disappoint!
