I hope you’ve enjoyed every bit of inspiration from TCP’s Sneak Peek Week! Today all the new goodies are available and we’re celebrating with our July Blog Hop and some more inspiration. You should have come from Wendy’s blog on the hop.
I kinda fell in love with these cute little dudes from Critter Camp, so I created 3 more projects with them to show you today. We’ll start with this crazy card letting your recipient know that simply, you like them.
Pup is coloured up with Copics and trimmed out holding his little Black-Eyed Susan bouquet. I used a few TCP Cut Ups dies for the design including Framed Up 2, Dots for the background, Ribbon Banner, and the new Arrows CutUps for accents (which will be our free item with purchase)
I used the leftover “dots” from the background die to fill in the circles in a combination of the gridded designer paper and the yellow to give it a wacky feel of movement, and tilted all the elements to add to that whimsical fun feel.
Next up, a couple of bookmarks for my niece and nephew.
As I was perusing through my paper I noticed I still had some shrinky plastic in my stash, which brought about the whole idea for these designs. Why not stamp the little dudes on the shrinky plastic and add them as charms to the bookmarks? It’s always fun when your imagination takes you in different directions.
For the bookmarks I cut my cardstock to size, used the new Critters Cut Ups die to trim out our happy little dude, and then added some fun floral papers.
Other fun accents are TCP dies Big Little Alphabet, 5 Petal Posies, and Holiday Tag Duo for the interior tag.
Now for that cute shrinky pup, all I did was use the coordinating die for the Critter camp stamp on the clear shrinky plastic, using just the exterior outline cut, then I stamped the pup in Black Stazon ink, coloured the BACK side of the plastic loosely, and then shrunk it down with my heat tool. It makes a cute little charm to tie on as accent.
Next up the bookmark for my nephew.
I used a similar group of products for this one, with the Big Little Alphabet dies, and Arrow Dies, and the new Critter Dies.
For this charm I actually used the opaque white shrinky plastic and it mimics the lighter gray of the raccoon. Then, because the plastic is more opaque, I added the copic colouring carefully on the front, being mindful not to touch the lines of the Stazon ink.
For our larger raccoon, I added a bit of Copic colouring to let his details stand out.
Such fun simple projects, kids could even get in on the action and create this with you. Which would be a great summer craft project - and encourage summer reading!
And lastly, a new pair of watercolour cards to match the cards I showed you on my Sneaky Peek Day. These ones have a real summery warm feel.
I’ve stamped this pair of cards with the lovely Sketchy Flowers, and then used the awesome new Liners and One Liners stamp set and die combination to create a dreamy watercoloured look.
Here’s one more peek at all the new items being released! 3 brand new stamp sets, and four new dies, and that sweet Arrows set is our free item with purchase!
Now please head on over to Brenda’s blog on the hop! Have fun, and happy shopping for all the new goodies at the TCP Shop!
