Snowy Hills and Dales

Day Three of our newest releases at The Cat’s Pajamas!  Today’s set is such an elegant one. and we think you’ll love it for it’s versatility and simplicity.  It’s called Winter Style.

The set incorporates many lovely stylistic elements that can be used together or separately.  Today I created a snowy village with the lovely stars from the set, using them with the Hill and Dale CutUps Die that’s new too.  It makes a beautiful nighttime Christmas scene.

First I embossed the stars on vellum cardstock and tucked it under some navy blue card stock cut into a curve.  It mimics the hills from the die and gives you the feeling of a night sky.

On one of the layers of the Hills and Dales I embossed some Iridescent Ice EP to create a sparkly snowy scene and then tucked the other hill behind it onto the vellum.

I also added another layer of hills on the inside of the design which shows slightly through the vellum and the becomes a place to write on the inside of the card.  The sentiment “Joy” comes from another of our new dies that will be free with a qualifying purchase this month.

Here is the inside of the design showcasing the pretty scripty sentiment from the set too.

Now get ready for the fun details about the release.  Pictured below are the new items I used today that will be available October 18th.

I LOVE THIS CHRISTINE!!!! It has the real feel of a winter night after a fresh snowfall...makes me kinda homesick (until I think about single digit or lower temps, them I'm glad I live in the land of endless summer).
