Here we are in July and it’s half way until Christmas in the calendar year. It’s hard to believe snow and cold temperatures are less than six months away. We thought it would be fun to have a challenge at TCP this week to celebrate Christmas (a wee bit early) in July.
For this card there’s no stamping involved! I decided to do some inlaid snowflakes using the beautiful Double Snowflakes CutUps dies. I first cut out the negative space into the gray card stock, then cut out the snowflakes out of white leaving all the pieces in the snowflake and then placing that inside the negative space in the gray like a puzzle piece, so everything lays flush, like a one layer card.
For some pretty winter sparkle I added some sparkly white ribbon, some gems, some red baker’s twine and a little enamel star as accent.
Here’s the details about the Christmas in July Challenge....
1. Every other Tuesday a new challenge will be posted on The Cat’s Pajamas blog and our Facebook page.
2. If you want to play along you just upload your design to The Cat’s Pajamas blog page using the InLinkz button by the Monday, 11:55 EDT before the next challenge.
3. You are not required to use a Cat’s Pajamas stamp or die but if you have them we would love to see them.
4. On the following TCP Tuesday, the winner will be chosen from the previous challenge and will receive a Cat Cash Voucher for $10 or $15 if a TCP product is used.
Here’s the Cat Pack playing along today....
