"Doe a Deer a female deer, Ray a drop of golden sun, Me a name I call myself....” are you singing yet? :) Today's new set from A Day for Daisies reminds me of this song from The Sound of Music, they’re called Deer Flower Garden and they are so precious!
I played with this image that has three deer in it. I thought it would be so fun to colour, and it was!
With all those fabulous flowers in the deer antlers, I dug through my papers until I found this pretty Christmas paper and found this great pack from Memory Box called Brioche from a few years ago. It highlights all the pretty flowers in the design so well, and still gives it that wintery feel.
I played with this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch. Otherwise, I kept things pretty simple because the paper was busy, adding only some pretty iridescent twine and rhinestones and little vellum hearts.
Here you can see I tried to give their deer a little “fur” colouring with some texture flicking my marking along the paper. Here’s all the colours I used below.
Take a visit to the rest of the A Day for Daisies team to see their creative cards with this adorable new digi!

ReplyDeleteOh Christine, this is so adorable. Your colouring is perfect and love the paper - it fits so well with these cute little reindeers. I love how you did the shading around with the little dots, I need to try this out. Gorgeous card!
