I have a fun little secret to share!! I was asked to be a part of the A Day for Daisies Design Team recently and well, there’s nothing like breaking your leg to give you more time and space for stamping. I was delighted to be able to say yes! ADFD’s digital images are so fun and whimsical, with really graphic style and wonderful open lines. I love Tammy’s illustration. I feel so blessed to design for such talented and unique companies, so I can’t wait to show off more with ADFD in the future, and work with this fabulous design team.
This week the ADFD Challenge is to play with Houndstooth. Did you know that it’s originally a Scottish design? So, it works perfectly with this new image from ADFD Scottie Dog.
What a fabulous image isn’t it? This lady has an armful of packages, a gorgeous coat and a cute little Scotty pup to walk. I’ve paired the image with some lovely houndstooth designer paper, lace, houndstooth embossing and some cute buttons.
I wanted to give the “fur” of the collar, cuffs and hem the feeling of texture so I added some pointillism to the design. I love the effect. Here’s the Copics I used below.
And now, you can visit the rest of the A Day for Daisies Design Team where you can be inspired by their houndstooth-themed creations. Hope you can play along!
