July Challenge at Flourishes!

Can you believe it's already the July Pre-Release Challenge at Flourishes?  Wow, where has this month gone?  I think you'll be SO excited to see what's coming up next week with the new sets.  :)  How's that for a teaser?

So, if you want to be sure you're entered to WIN what's coming next week, you'll want to play in this challenge.  And it's a great sketch!  Now... Julie will have prettied this graphic up a lot better on the Flourishes Blog, but when I was getting ready to write this post up early, I only had a basic version of the sketch as follows.

And I pulled out my beautiful raspberries from the Berry Sweet set to play with the sketch...

I picked a bit of an unusual color-palette with this MME paper A Happy Heart, and then adjusted the sketch a wee bit to work with the design, making the front panel out of the horizontal panel.  

I had so much fun taking my time to color these berries too, they are my favourite summer berry...I think.  

I chose pointillism in the background with different sized dots to mimic the seeds of the berries as well as the polka-dots on the paper.
