On the Porch

Ok friends.  Today's set just gets a soft spot in me.  I would love to have a porch much like this set conveys!  If I had my dream house, I'd have a wrap-around porch with a porch swing, and a chair just like this one above with a table for lemonade with friends, and pretty potted flowers.  This set warms me up inside!

And...I had a really hard time deciding which card to show you from what I made, so check back in a couple of days, I'll have more for you.  It's just THAT great of a set :)

Doesn't that look warm and cozy?  I'd totally be out there with a book.  Colored up with Copic Markers and making use of all the real estate of a 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 inch card.  I paper pieced the pillow.  All the papers and accents are from the Flourishes 1 2 3 Kit from 2 months ago.  Our kits are really great!

You can also see the embossing on the fish-tail strip, it's from the Spellbinders M Bossabilities Folder.  I'm so glad to see Spellbinders come out with folders!  It was the ONLY thing I ever had against the Grand Calibur - and now with the insert you can emboss too!  And the folders have 2 sides which is super great.

Here's a list of the copics I used:

+ a combination of E33, E35, E50, E74, E79 and W2 on the shadows.

It's been a fantastic release hasn't it?  All the sets are viewable now here

Be sure to see what the rest of the Design Team has for you today.  I know you'll be inspired...

  34. We are lucky enough to have a screened in porch at our cabin at the lake, and just purchased a few weeks ago a set of wicker chairs! And yes, I DO love to read out there. I'm new to rubber stamping, and really love how you paper pieced the cushion. I don't yet know how to do that. Your rosy pink and chocolate colour choices are so yummy! Marguerite Rose
