Medallion Motif

What a gorgeous set we have for you today everyone!  It's a perfect set for anyone who likes to stamp.  You can stamp it simply and go really Clean and Simple, you can color it up and make it bold or soft, you can emboss it and give it elegance, you can make it for everyday, or Christmas....it's got so much potential!  Designed by Becky Fleck, it's got the WOW factor for sure!

As soon as I saw this set I wondered how it would look colored up :)  so I tried it and I really love how it turned out.  Coloring is done with Copic Markers, (Spruce Collection, Fuchsia Collection, and E81 and 87 from the New Copic Sketch Collection colors)  and to me it has a really gorgeous ethnic and regal feel to it.  Then I took the dotted circle image that is separate from the main medallion and stamped it in my three colors around the medallion to tie it all together.  (LOVE that).  Rather than place the sentiment into the center of the medallion I stamped it separately on a Octagonal Nestability shape and added slightly off-center of the main image.

And I used a NEW and wonderful product in the store called Spellbinders Edgeabilities which we first saw demo-ed at CHA....wow-weeeee these are awesome!!!  I've created the bottom border on the card with them...

They're so cool because you can layer them different ways to get different cuts and textures.  This set is called Classic Bracket Edgeabilities

The girls have wonderful things to show you again today that you won't want to miss!

  13. Fantastic card! I love everything about it--your detailed coloring is awesome and the layout is original and super interesting. It looks so pretty with the stamp off the page a little bit, then the sentiment off the center of that. NEVER would I have thought of something like that. I must CASE soon!
