Well, we are having some beautiful late summer weather here this week, and it looks like it will be all week long! This is really wonderful to extend out this summer season and to hold back autumn a wee bit longer....and - referring to the tamale part in the title, my husband was gone this weekend to Mexico City. It makes him sound like such a jet-setter doesn't it? Gone for the weekend to Mexico City? We're so NOT jet-setters people :) Actually it was a planning meeting for some of our future work with two churches that we've done mission trips with for the past 6 years. I was so happy for him to go, even though we really missed him. But he was able to spend some time with people we love very much plus eat Mexican food again. His favourite is the Taco's El Pastor that are made at a little restaurant of relatives to the Pastor's family. He ate 12 of Tacos this time. Now mind you - they are small, but 12 is the record :)
Alrighty....I thought I'd pull out something pretty for you today...something a little sweet and cool for these hot summer days.
It's Flourishes gorgeous
Sweet Peas. I love them. And I added lots of pretty feminine detailing to the design, with
pleated satin ribbon, silk, embroidery floss and buttons. I'm trying to remember what paper pack this is and it seems to escape me. Do you see the lacy scallop under the sentiment, it's just the lacy square die trimmed and tucked under the design. I really love how Spellbinders can work in so many ways.
A little closer detailing on the sewing and accents.
Ok...I'm off :) Tuesday is our first day off together without the kids since the summer began, so it's going to be some errands and a date for us! Hope you have a great day ahead friends.
