Feeling a little Fruity :)

Hee hee, I'm playing along today with the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Girls and they have a fruity challenge for us, and they are also helping show off the brand new Watermelon set from Flourishes.  It is SO fun gang!


I love the mixed elements in this set, you can go traditional with it or a little playful....I chose to go a little playful with these watermelon pieces.  


Do you see how Marcy drew the watermelon with the feeling of gingham and ric-rack?  CUTE hey?  That's what inspired the ribbons on this card.  I used an OLD pack of paper called Berry Sweet from K & Co that I had in my stash.  The slices are colored with Copic Markers and I've colored them twice popping up one layer. 


Delicious looking isn't it?  :)  In Mexico we'd sprinkle a spice onto the fruit (like watermelon) called Tajin...it's a lime chilli flavor and YUM is it ever good!  This reminds me of those times.  Now we've found places where we can buy it here and enjoy it too!
